Rose's POV

Two weeks Later

I woke up without feeling the warmth of Derek that I was used to. Instead, I reached for him and opened my eyes to see that he was no longer in bed. 

"Derek," I said, but there was no answer.

I sat up on the bed and noticed a note on his pillow.

"Flower, 

I am sorry that you woke up without me beside you. I am so happy that the day has finally come and that by the end of the day, you will be tied to me forever. Our moms, Kate and Kayla, are waiting for you in the family room to wake up. Please don't overthink anything about tonight and relax. I love you and can't wait to see you at our Mating Ceremony tonight

I couldn't help the smile that came onto my face after reading Derek's note. I put it on my nightstand and got out of bed. Then, I went to the bathroom to take a shower. After showering, I brushed my teeth and hair and walked out.

I made my way to the kitchen. Walking to the kitchen, I could smell bacon, so I knew someone was making breakfast. I saw Kate and Kayla sitting at the table when I entered the kitchen. Aunt Lisa was cooking bacon while she and my mom were talking.

"Good Morning," Kayla said as I sat beside her and Kate. 

"Good Morning, Sweetie; how are you feeling," My mom asked as she came over and kissed me on my cheek.

"I am feeling fine," I said

"Are you excited for your big day?" My mom asked

"Yes, I am," I said 

"You look nervous," Kate said

"I am a little bit," I said honestly. I was still nervous about mating with Derek in front of the Pack. Derek told me constantly that if I was comfortable with mating in front of the Pack, then we didn't have to and could finish our bond in the privacy of our bedroom, but I told him that I would be fine. 

Plus, I know that he really wants to follow the tradition. After I shifted into my wolf, I could feel his emotions, knowing that the mating ceremony was very important to him. I feel more attached to him now and hate being away from him more than before. I can't imagine wanting him more than I already do. Everyone keeps saying our bond will be even more potent once we mate and mark. Lacy told me that the sex would get better and be mindblowing after we marked each other. 

After my wolf came, my senses enhanced, and I could control my magic better. 

"You have nothing to worry about, Rose; just try not to worry," Kayla said

"Okay, I will try," I said

"We have a relaxing day planned for you to calm your nerves," my mom said as she placed a plate with pancakes, sausage, and eggs in front of me.

"But first, we need to discuss how everything will go tonight at the mating ceremony," Aunt Lisa said 

"Alright," I replied. Aunt Lil has told me everything numerous times, but I guess she wants to ensure that I don't forget anything.

The first part of the Mating Ceremony is basically like a wedding. Kate, Kayla, and Ebony will walk in front of me to the stage. The only difference is that they walk alone instead of walking with the groomsman because there are none. Then I walk alone to the stage. Derek will meet me halfway and place his hand in mine, and we finish the rest of the walk together to the stage. Uncle Michael will be waiting for us at the top of the stage. Then Uncle Michael asks us if we accept being each other's fated mate. After all, that is done, everyone cheers, and then we have a party with our family and the Pack, where we all eat and dance. 

The second part is the Mating and Marking. It begins at eleven o'clock at night. After the party, I will return to my room and get ready. First, I must take a bath with a special soap to clean every part of my body, including my hair. Then I wear a red dress, the Luna dress that every other Luna in the Blood Moon Pack has worn for the mating part. After that, Kate, Ebony, and Kayla will walk me to where the mating will take place, and Derek will be waiting for me there. Then the mating and marking will take place.

"Is Mark coming?" I asked

Mark has been spending a lot of time away from us. My dad says he feels embarrassed about what his mother tried to do to me and that he needs time. 

I think Mark is upset that I took his mom's powers away from her. But she was dangerous and didn't deserve to have them, so I know I did the right thing. Derek asked me how I knew I could do that, and I told him that a voice told me I could. He said that it's the voice of my wolf and that once the babies are born, and I can shift, I will be able to communicate with her more. 

"Max said that he will be at the Ceremony later today. Don't worry, sweetie, he isn't mad at you. Even if you didn't take her powers away, she would have still ended up the way she is because of being shot. You saved her and should be proud of yourself," My mom said

We learned that even though I saved Chloe from death, she was still paralyzed from the gunshot. I wonder, would she have ended up that way if I didn't take her magic away?

We began eating our breakfast and having small talk. 

"Come on, Rose. We have a relaxing day in store for you," Aunt Lisa said, and we left the Packhouse.
