Rose's POV

"Rose, Rose can you hear me?" Kate asked, taking me out of my thoughts

"What," I asked

"I asked if you are enjoying yourself," Kate replied

"Yeah, I am," I said

"You seem like your mind is somewhere else," Kate said

"She is thinking of Derek. I am shocked you guys even got her to go now that they are mated," Ebony said

"I still feel like something is missing when I am away from Jace. Don't worry; it gets a little easier," Lacy added

"Yeah, Keith and I are hardly away from each other. Normally we are always together, and it was hard to leave without him today, but it is good to get away sometimes," Ebony said

"We had to drag both of you away from your mates today. Don't act as if you did it on your own," Aunt Lisa said, coming over to us. She handed champagne to all of them.

"This is non-alcoholic," my mom said, handed me a glass, and sat next to me.

"Thank you," I said

"It does get easier, but you still will feel incomplete being away from your mate. That's why the two of you will have to go together when he has to go on Pack Business. You will never see a mated Alpha too far away from his Luna. It could drive them crazy," Aunt Lisa said

I thought about what she said and thought about my mother. I knew that my father was the reason for her pain. But I didn't know how severe that pain was until recently. It made me think of Derek being separated from him for so long. I felt a pain in my chest and needed to see him.

"When are we going back to the Pack House," I asked

"After we finish our nails," Aunt Lisa said 

"Hey, Flower, I miss you," I heard Derek mind-link me

I forgot that we could mind-link each other from anywhere now that we were fully mated because of our mate-link.

"I miss you too," I mind-linked back

"Hurry back to me,"

"As soon as we get our nails done, I will," I replied

"Great, and after the Alpha and Luna Ceremony is done tonight, I am taking you back to our room and fucking you all night long," he linked

"Okay, that's enough. You will see him soon. Tell him goodbye," My mom said, and I sighed

"I will see you soon. My mom wants me to quit mind-linking you," 

"Okay, Flower, I will see you soon," Derek said, and we ended the link

"Damn. I hope I never get a mate. It seems exhausting," Kate said

"I can't wait to have a mate," Kayla replied

After getting our nails done, we left the spa and returned to Pack House. As I walked through the door, Derek pulled me to him and hugged me close. I sighed from relief being back in his arms.

"I missed you, Flower," Derek whispered as he inhaled my scent.

"I missed you too," I replied

"That's enough; the two of you need to get ready to be crowned. Derek, you go with your father, and Rose, let's go get ready," Aunt Lisa said, tearing me away from Derek. 

 I was tired of being separated from him and became frustrated. I could feel that Derek was feeling the same way.

"It's okay, Flower. Once we are down with today, no one will ever be able to pull you away from me again," he mind-linked me, causing me to smile.

We went to my mom's room and got dressed. I had on a flowing red gown that looked like it was from the middle ages. It was beautiful, and I looked like a queen. Kate pulled my hair up into a bun. 

Once I was ready, we walked out of the room and went to the fighting field. Derek and Uncle Michael were standing in the ring. Derek was wearing Black pants and a long black cloak. All the Pack Members and guests were in their wolf form.

Derek told me that the Pack runs with the new Alpha and Luna in the woods after the Crowning celebration. Since I can't shift because I am pregnant, I will be riding Derek's wolf. I was worried about falling, but he assured me I would be fine.

Aunt Lisa and I stepped inside the ring. Derek looked over at me and smiled. 

"Do you, Derek Smith, promise to lead and protect the Pack of Blood Moon with your life," Uncle Michael asked

"Yes, I do," Derek said

Alpha Michael took a knife and cut the inside of his hand, then cut the inside of Derek's hand. Then they put their hands together. Derek closed his eyes, and I could feel him becoming stronger from our bond. He was receiving the strength of the Alpha. After a while, Derek opened his eyes, and they were black as the night but then turned back to his beautiful blue ones. 

Derek then looked at me and gestured for me to come to him. Uncle Michael had moved to the side, and Derek took his place. I walked over to where Derek was before, and Aunt Lisa walked to my side.

Derek looked at me and smiled before he began to speak.

"Do you, Rose Bailey, Promise to protect and care for the Pack of Blood Moon for the rest of your life," Derek asked.

"Yes, I do," I replied, and Luna Kate placed the Tiara she was wearing on my head and hugged me.

"I am so happy that it is you that gets to take my place," She whispered in my ear before pulling away and making me smile.

Derek recut his hand that had healed because of werewolf healing. He then took my hand and looked at me. I could tell he didn't want to hurt me by cutting my hand, but I nodded, letting him know that it was okay, and then he cut my hand, but it wasn't as big of a cut then what he did on his own. 

We placed our hands together; I closed my eyes from the feeling. I felt more powerful than before. Then, I opened my eyes and saw a big smile on Derek's face. I could feel how happy he was through our bond. 

Uncle Michael stepped in front of us. He raised his hands toward Derek and me.

"Pack Members, meet your new Alpha and Luna. Derek Smith and Rose Bailey," Uncle Michael said, and the Pack roared happily. 

I could hear Pack Members in my head, knowing it was the Pack mind-link. Most congratulated me for becoming Luna. 

Derek snaked his arms around me and pulled me to him. 

"Are you ready for the run?" Derek asked me 

"Yes," I replied.

We walked out of the ring, and Derek shifted into his wolf, and I climbed on his back. He turned, looked at the Pack Members, growled, and began to run toward the wood and the Pack following behind.
