Ebony's POV

"What do you mean she dies?" Keith asked

"Ebony is killed by one of Alice's followers," Abby said 

"Which one?' Keith asked

"I don't know. All I know is that they succeed in killing her because she loses the trust of the other Werewolves."

"What do I do to lose their trust?" I asked. I would never hurt anyone or try to deceive them in any way.

"This may sound crazy, but Alice wins because you fail to tell everyone about your white wolf. When they found out about you, they were upset because they felt as if you lied to them."

"But the Royal Council told me not to tell them," I said

"That is another thing. You shouldn't trust the Royal Council. They are looking out for themselves more than they are looking out for you. When everyone starts to  turn on you, so do they."

"I knew there was something off with them. They keep telling me not to let anyone know about my wolf and abilities and that they are trying to keep me safe. I never believed them, though," I said.

"Wait a minute. Are you saying that we shouldn't trust the Royal Council and that if Ebony doesn't tell everyone about her white wolf, she will be killed?" Keith asked.

"No, you shouldn't trust the Royal Council. I am not telling you to broadcast to every Pack about the Luna having a wolf. What I am saying is that you need to tell this Pack. At least the members you can trust, which I am sure you will agree, is most of the Pack Members."

"I talked to Jacob about that, but he told me it would put Ebony in danger if we told the Pack about Ebony's wolf. He said no one should know she has a White Wolf. That it is the only way to protect her," Keith said.

"That is because the Royal Council has put it in his head as well as all the others in the Royal family that if you tell anyone about being a white wolf, they will come after you. The real reason they don't want anyone to know about you being special wolfs with powers is because they know that you will see that you don't need the Royal Council to protect you. You are more powerful than they are. There is no reason to have a Royal Council, and they know that. They have always known they are useless. All they do is makeup bullshit rules to try to stay in charge," Abby said. I have thought the same thing since I learned about the Royal Council. It seems like they want to be the rulers of the werewolves.

"What do you expect us to do about the Royal Council? Get rid of them," Keith asked.

"You need to prove to everyone that you don't need the Royal Council to Rule, That you can Rule without them. But, before you do that, you need to make sure Queen Alice doesn't win."

"And you believe we should do that by telling the trusted Pack Members in our Pack about Ebony's wolf?" Keith asked

"Yes, you need to let them know that the Queen wants to make Princess Alissa the Queen, and if that happens, it will destroy the werewolves."

"I don't know," Keth said 

"Keith, I agree with Abby. I have been thinking the same thing Abby has. They want Jacob and me to hide our wolves because they don't want everyone to know that we are strong enough to Rule without them. The Royal Council were made to protect the King or Queen from the Royal family, but we don't need them to protect us.     I believe they are here because they want to be in power. I think it is time that we showed the werewolves that we don't need them," I said 

"Are you saying you want to bring the Royal Council down?" Keith asked

"I don't know if we have a choice. You heard what Abby said. When the people turn on me, so will they. We need to let our Pack know about my wolf and what is going on with the Queen and Alissa. We need to listen to Abby," I said.

"I think we need to talk to Jacob about this first," Keith said 

"That might not be a good idea. The King believes the Royal Council has been looking out for your families forever. He will not want to get rid of them. I think you should do this without him knowing," Abby said 

"You want us not to tell him that we are planning on getting rid of the Royal Council? I can't do that," I said

"What if he tells them what you are doing? What if he takes their side? He has known them longer than he has known you," Abby said.

"He wouldn't do that. I am his daughter," I said

"Are you sure about that? He hasn't been around you for that long. How do you know he wouldn't be on Alissa's side?" Keith said. 

I knew he was right. I barely knew Jacob. He had been a father to Alissa her whole life, and even though he had told me that he wanted me to become Queen, that didn't mean he woudl take my side over the daughter he had raised since the day she was born. Compared to her, I was a stranger in his eyes.

"In the visions, you have seen, was Jacob one of the werewolves that turned on me?" I asked Abby.

"I am sorry, Ebony. I don't know if he is one of the werewolves that turned on you. I only saw a glimpse of what happens if Alice Succeeds in making Alissa Queen. I don't know everything. All I know is that you need to do everything you can to make sure that the two of you are the ones that become King and Queen. Because if you are not, everything will be destroyed."
