Alpha's Twins Chapter 101

5 min 30.7K views

My phone started buzzing in my pocket the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby. I'd been ignoring it for hours.

I caught a glimpse of Beta Eric talking to one of the hotel managers across the lobby. He didn't notice me. I headed straight for the elevator and up to my room.

I was staying in the same hotel as the Blue Blood Pack. They had no idea.

When I walked into my room, I found a man sitting on the couch, phone pressed to his ear.

He stood up and turned to face me.

"Adrian, where the hell have you been?"

"Why are you in my room, Patric?" I asked, heading for the closet.

"Bro, are you serious right now? We're not in our territory. You're a head Alpha. What if someone tries to take you out? I've been losing my mind over here."

I glanced back at him. "Your Alpha can handle himself just fine. Relax."

I grabbed a suit from the closet and walked toward the bathroom.

"How can I relax? My Alpha's not thinking straight. He's in lov—"

I shot him a look that shut him up fast. He threw his hands up in surrender.

I looked away and stepped into the bathroom. I could hear him yelling through the door.

"You're regretting the divorce!"

"Fuck off, Patric."

A few minutes later, I heard the door slam shut. In the shower, I let out a long breath and closed my eyes.

I was at war with myself and my wolf. I couldn't accept what Patric was saying. I wouldn't. I couldn't think like that.

Natalia's face flashed in my mind, and my eyes snapped open. I tilted my head back, letting the cold water hit my face as I ran my fingers through my wet hair.

I left the hotel room after getting dressed and putting on my shoes. Walking past Patric's door, my mind was all over the place.

I got in my car outside the hotel. Since I'd signed the deal with this pack, I'd be coming here regularly. That's why I brought my own car instead of renting.

I told my driver to head to the party venue.

It was a thirty-minute drive. When I stepped out of the car, people nearby stared at me with obvious curiosity.

Ignoring their stares, I walked into the hall.

The place was decorated with orchid flowers. A massive chandelier hung low from the ceiling, casting light across the entire space.

I noticed CEOs from various pack companies had brought their people. I could see plenty of women who hadn't been at yesterday's conference.

I figured the Alphas had brought their wives or girlfriends.

Alpha Seth came over to greet me, apologizing like he thought I was pissed at him.

I didn't argue with him. Why would I? I didn't care what anyone thought about that woman.

But the next second, that belief crumbled when I saw the woman who'd just walked into the hall.

Her stunning figure was wrapped in a maroon gown. Sleeveless and backless. Not a single scar on her arms, not a flaw anywhere.

"Miss Natalia's here! She really is extraordinary," people started whispering around me.

"Mine," my wolf growled inside.

I forced myself to look away from Natalia, even though my eyes didn't want to leave her.

I turned back to Alpha Seth, who was also staring at Natalia. I raised an eyebrow at him. He caught my look and slowly turned back to me, chuckling nervously.

"Just looking. Don't read into it."

I looked away from him. He was one of the Alphas I'd made an alliance with. I didn't want to make him afraid of me.

I walked over to the bar and ordered a drink. The whole time, I kept my eyes on Natalia.

"Stop thinking about something that's never gonna happen, Alpha Adrian. She's not yours anymore."

I heard a voice beside me. I turned to see who it was.

"Beta Eric," I muttered, lifting my glass. "Enjoy your drink."

I didn't pay him much attention. He was just some other pack's beta standing in front of me. I'd bet he wasn't even half as powerful as Patric. What was the point of him even talking to me? It was all because of my history with Natalia. That's what gave him the balls to speak to me so disrespectfully. If Natalia hadn't been my ex-wife, he and his Alpha would've approached me politely, looking to form an alliance.

"Cheers," he said, then turned his attention to Natalia, which I didn't like one bit.

"You all lied to me about her kids. They're not yours," I said, taking a sip of my drink.

"Not yours either," he shot back mockingly.

My grip tightened on the glass, but I controlled the pressure enough to keep it from shattering.

I stayed quiet—I had nothing to say to that. He was right. They weren't my kids.

"Alpha Adrian, this isn't a warning, it's fair notice from me. Stay away from Natalia. She's got nothing to do with you anymore. She likes me, and I love her. We have a future together, and Jason's already given his approval."

I frowned at him. "You're lying."

He chuckled and shook his head. "I'm not. You can ask her yourself."

I scoffed. "Right. Obviously you want to be with her. She's your head Alpha's sister. That's the only reason you'd even consider being with a divorced woman who has kids."

"I love her. I don't care who the father of those kids is. I raised them myself. I was there when they were born. I'm going to be their father and give them my name."

Something twisted in my chest. I didn't like his words—or rather, I didn't like how he wanted to be with that woman.

"If that's true, why hasn't Alpha Jason announced anything about you two?" I asked, hoping he was lying.

He shrugged and answered calmly, "She told her brother she wants to focus on her career right now. But I'll take care of her in the future. She knows how her brother thinks. Whatever comes out of his mouth becomes law in our pack."
