Alpha's Twins Chapter 51

I could see the fury blazing in Adrian's eyes. My words had hit their mark, and he was pissed.

I walked out of the dining room, leaving everyone speechless.

The moment I stepped outside, tears started streaming down my face. I was so worked up that I knew I had to get out of the pack house. Now.

I pulled out my phone and called my driver to pick me up.

Standing outside, I wiped my tears away, trying to pull myself together.

It was always Adrian. Always him hurting me, over and over again. Why couldn't this man just leave me alone? Hadn't he put me through enough hell five years ago?

He'd proven me wrong about myself. I thought I wasn't that fragile girl anymore—the one who'd crumble in front of him every time.

Sure, I'd stood up to him today, but his cruel words still cut deep.

Did he really think I'd orchestrated this whole thing just to frame Lynda?

But something Lynda had said kept nagging at me.

How the hell did she get those screenshots? Did my foster father help her somehow? And if he did... why?

"Stupid bitch! Did you really think you could take me down with some text messages?"

Lynda's voice came from behind me. I didn't bother turning around, just rolled my eyes.

I could hear her heels clicking on the pavement as she walked up to me.

She stopped right behind me and patted my shoulder. I grabbed her hand and spun around to face her. The look she gave me was pure mockery.

"How did it feel watching Adrian defend me in there? When are you going to get it through your thick skull that he'll always choose me over you?"

My blood boiled. But my wolf was thinking differently—she was furious that this woman was keeping her from her mate. She tried to take control, but I fought her back and just glared at Lynda.

"Your precious Alpha is going to see your true face real soon," I said, shaking off her hand.

She laughed at me. Those red lips of hers curved into a smile as she reached out and stroked my hair with fake sweetness.

"Oh, Natalia honey, you have no clue how much he loves me. If I wanted, I could make him kill you right now. But..."

She paused, grabbing a handful of my hair.

"Stay away from him. He was never yours, and he never will be. Remember that—he's your ex-husband. The man who destroyed you. What kind of idiot agrees to help his father after all the shit he put you through? You're pathetic."

The second she finished talking, I grabbed her hand and twisted it behind her back.

Her eyes went wide—she wasn't expecting that.

She thought I was still the same old Natalia who'd never fight back.

But I wasn't that girl anymore.

"Let go of my hand!" she yelled.

The guards who'd been minding their own business suddenly looked our way.

They started rushing over to help Lynda, but when they recognized me, they stopped dead in their tracks. I used to be Adrian's legal wife, and Lynda wasn't officially the future Luna yet. They didn't know whose side to take.

I twisted her arm harder. Suddenly, Lynda stopped struggling, which was weird, but I ignored it.

"Did you just call me pathetic? Let me tell you something I should've said years ago. You're a homewrecking bitch who destroyed my marriage. But you're not the only one to blame here. My ex-husband is a cheating bastard who couldn't keep it in his pants. You two deserve each other. So don't you dare get in my face again, and make sure you tell him the same thing."

It felt amazing to finally say all that. But weirdly, she didn't react at all.

Then I heard her voice and realized what she was doing.

"Ad-Adrian." Her voice was barely a whisper.

I turned toward the pack house entrance and saw Adrian standing there, absolutely livid.

"LEAVE."

He shouted at me. I ignored him and twisted Lynda's hand even harder out of pure rage.

Lynda screamed like I'd broken her damn hand. I looked down and saw her hand was turning red.

Adrian rushed over, and I shoved her toward him.

Lynda started crying. "M-My hand, Ad-Adrian."

Adrian held her hand like it was made of glass, his face full of concern.

He glared at me, then his eyes shot to the guards, who immediately looked down.

"You just stood there and watched this happen? You're all fired."

"A-Alpha!"

"Shut up! And you!" He turned back to me.

"How dare you hurt Lynda?"

I laughed at him like I'd lost my mind. Maybe I had.

"You heard every word I said to her, didn't you? So, Alpha Adrian, go fuck yourself."
