Alpha's Twins Chapter 273

"No, no. How is that even possible?" I muttered, clutching my head and shaking it as the stress hit me like a freight train.

I thought back to all those times Lynda told me how Natalia had slapped her, cursed at her, abused her, even threw her out of the house just because she wanted to wait for me there.

"Did she really lie to me?"

I remembered how I'd always gone after Natalia because of Lynda. It was because Lynda never shut up about Natalia. She kept pushing me to divorce her as soon as possible.

But I always brushed off her demands because, deep down, I didn't want to divorce Natalia. Hell, my wolf wanted her.

I only threatened her with divorce to scare her—it was never actually my plan.

I glanced at the diary and slammed it shut. There were plenty more pages to read, but I closed it anyway.

I was too worked up to keep reading. I needed answers about something else.

I needed to ask Lynda why the hell she did that.

I got up from the chair and walked over to the window. The sun was starting to come up.

I wondered how long I'd been reading that damn diary. I'd done so many horrible things to Natalia that it made my chest ache.

I shouldn't have treated her like that.

Now I finally understood why she hated my guts. It was because I'd hurt her in the worst possible way.

I lit up a cigarette as the stress pounded against my skull like a sledgehammer.

Taking a drag, I pulled out my phone and called Patric.

The second he picked up, he started yelling.

"Harold told me you're at that house. What the hell are you doing there?"

"Stop yelling. I'm the Alpha here, not you. Quit asking questions and get your ass to my company apartment. I'm heading there now."

"Adrian, we've been up all night worrying about what's wrong with you. Now you're calling us for work? At this hour? You should get some sleep first. Wait—are you drunk?"

I rolled my eyes and hung up. I wasn't in the mood for his twenty questions.

He knew what a dead line meant. I wanted them at my apartment right now.

I turned to leave the study. Before walking out, I glanced back at the diary on the desk. I went over and locked it safely in my desk drawer.

As I left the study, a few maids bowed to me with shocked expressions.

I realized that since it was so early, all the staff had just woken up.

I nodded at them as I walked past. I headed downstairs and stopped in front of Amanda, who was standing by the staircase.

"Amanda."

She quickly bowed and replied, "Yes, Alpha."

I looked toward the room where Natalia used to stay. Taking a deep breath, I said, "Clean that room exactly like it was six years ago. Don't change a single thing. I'm moving back here soon."
