The old man slowly turned around, his voice shaking. "I-I'm just heading home. My wife's waiting for me."

Adrian let out a dark chuckle and raised his hand. One of the guards standing behind the couch immediately pulled out a gun and handed it over.

"That money I gave you? Consider it life insurance for your wife."

"W-What are you talking about?"

The color drained from the man's face. Adrian cocked the gun and aimed it straight at his chest, the smirk disappearing from his face as his eyes flashed red. The old man looked like he was about to have a heart attack.

"You had the balls to buy my woman for the night. How many other girls have you trapped like that? She begged you to let her go, but you sent your goons after her instead. You were going to destroy an innocent girl's life."

The man dropped to his knees, hands clasped together. "Please, forgive me! I had no idea she was yours!"

Adrian glanced at his men. "Don't people call me merciless?"

Theta Emon nodded. "Yes, Alpha."

Adrian's smirk returned. "Then I should give them another reason to keep saying it."

Without warning, he shifted his aim from the man's chest to his groin. Before anyone could react, Adrian pulled the trigger.

The old man's scream pierced the air as he collapsed, writhing on the floor. Adrian's smirk never wavered. His mind was finally at peace. The bastard who'd dared to even think about touching his woman got exactly what he deserved.

Faith's eyes went wide with shock. She was just now realizing how dangerous Alpha Adrian really was.

His ruthlessness was legendary throughout the pack. Everyone gossiped about their head Alpha's brutal nature. She'd heard the stories, but seeing it firsthand was something else entirely.

"The lady worth billions."

Adrian's voice cut through her thoughts. She slowly turned to face him, eyes still wide with terror.

"I-I'm not worth anything. Please don't kill me."

Adrian's expression darkened. "Why did you do it? Who gave you the right to sell her?"

The question sent a chill down her spine. She'd already lost all self-respect by letting that old creep use her body. What did she have left to lose?

"You divorced Natalia years ago. Why do you still care about her? You even dumped your girlfriend and won't sleep with her. Why? Can't she turn you on?"

The officials tensed up, knowing she was only making Adrian angrier.

Adrian fixed her with an icy stare. "I belong to my woman. No other woman could ever tempt me."

Faith swallowed hard. She'd never seen loyalty like this from any man.

All the officials stared at Adrian in surprise. This was the first time they'd ever heard him say anything like that. It was like he'd never shown this side of himself to anyone.

Adrian pointed the gun at Faith. "Tell me the truth, or I'll put every bullet in this clip through your skull."

Faith shook her head frantically. "I don't know—Aaahhh!"

Adrian fired a shot into her hand. The burgundy blanket turned crimson as blood poured from the wound.

"This isn't some movie where the bad guy gives you time to think up lies. Our Alpha doesn't have that kind of patience," Beta Patric snarled at Faith.

Faith screamed, but no one moved to help her bleeding hand. She looked at the old man's corpse lying in a pool of blood and knew she was next.

"G-Gamma Jeremy..."

Faith passed out from the pain. Adrian frowned at her unconscious form. Patric spoke up, confused.

"Gamma Jeremy? Isn't that Natalia's adoptive father? What's she talking about?"
