Natalia couldn't believe what she was seeing. Alpha Leo—the guy Jason called his friend—was attacking him!

She didn't hesitate for a second. She jumped to that side and rushed toward Alpha Leo. He hadn't shifted yet.

It looked like he didn't come through the forest at all. He was already in the pack, just waiting for his chance to strike Jason.

The moment Natalia headed his way, a bunch of wolves moved to block her from reaching Alpha Leo.

Natalia glanced over at Jason. His wolf was crawling on the ground. She saw Eric trying to fight Alpha Leo, but Leo had wooden stakes in his hands.

Natalia tried to push through the wolves in front of her, but they all attacked her at once. Even though she was huge, the way they kept biting her was causing serious pain.

That's when a black wolf jumped on them, making them back off in fear. They were already worn down from dealing with one giant wolf. Handling another massive one was way beyond what they could manage.

Natalia turned to look at Adrian, who was staring right at her.

"Go inside the pack house," he said through the mind link.

"Are you crazy?" she roared back at him.

Adrian groaned as the wolves turned on him after letting Natalia go.

She looked at them. For a split second, she wanted to help Adrian, but then she remembered—he was the one who set up the whole conspiracy against his brother.

'Maybe Alpha Leo is working with him,' she thought, leaving his side.

She started running toward Alpha Leo again. Eric had bitten his hand, but Leo stabbed a stake into Eric's ribs.

Natalia stopped dead in her tracks and howled. She couldn't stand seeing Eric like that. She couldn't lose him. He was one of her best friends.

She tried to get to him, but Alpha Leo's beta blocked her way. All the rage building up inside her, she took it out on that beta.

She bit his neck, lifted his body, and slammed it into the ground over and over.

Alpha Leo turned around and saw what was happening. His eyes landed on Natalia's wolf, and since she was so close, he couldn't help but swallow hard.

"Who are you?" he asked, clearly not recognizing her.

"Your worst nightmare, you bastard. How dare you touch my brother?" Natalia growled at him.

The air went wild around them. She looked around and saw Adrian fighting other wolves while trying to get closer to her. But it seemed like all these wolves were just waiting here to attack him. His pack members were fighting other wolves too.

She frowned when she noticed Adrian kill one of Alpha Leo's guys.

Did they attack separately to take over this pack?

She figured both Alphas were after the throne. So she'd have to deal with both of them. But first, she had to kill Alpha Leo since he was the one who attacked her brother.

Alpha Leo was shocked when she came at him. No wolf could stop her from reaching this traitor. She bit his left leg and tried to do what she'd done to his beta.

But Alpha Leo was ready for her. When she bit his leg, he raised his hand and drove a wooden stake into her neck.

She groaned in pain and immediately let go of his leg.

Everything seemed to stop around her as dizziness hit.

"That's poisonous, Natalia. Get it out." She heard Eric's voice in her mind.

She turned to look at him. He was lying on the ground in wolf form, staring at her. She could see the pain in his eyes.

"Eric—"

She howled when someone bit down on the stake and tried to pull it out of her neck.

She managed to look at the wolf and realized it was Adrian. She had no idea why he was helping her.

Without saying anything through the mind link, he dug his fangs into the stake and yanked it out of her neck.
