Alpha's Twins Chapter 212
Adrian locked eyes with the woman standing before him. She could shift in a heartbeat. Those piercing blue eyes might rattle anyone else, but not him. He felt her razor-sharp claws slice into his neck, the metallic scent of his own blood filling the air.
Sure, the wounds would heal fast, but damn if it didn't hurt.
But he was Alpha Adrian.
He'd survived worse during the pack wars, taken down other Alphas when the odds were stacked against him. This? This was nothing.
When he didn't even flinch, Natalia dug her claws in deeper. She wanted to see him break, wanted to hear him beg.
"Easy there," Adrian said, catching her wrist.
"What's wrong? Too much for you to handle?" she asked, that wicked smile spreading across her face.
She felt like some twisted villain from a dark romance novel, ready to take out the anti-hero.
Adrian's dark eyes swept over her face, completely calm. The rage in her eyes was building. Her jaw was set tight, and he could practically feel her bloodlust radiating off her.
Instead of telling her to back off, he actually smirked.
"I've never met a woman quite like you. Gotta say, you're pretty damn hot when you're pissed off, my little black wolf."
Her hand went still.
"Little black wolf?" she whispered, confusion flickering across her features.
That was his opening. He grabbed her hand, yanked it away from his throat, and spun her around.
Her back slammed against his chest. She realized he'd been playing her the whole time.
He leaned down, his breath warm against her neck.
Her heart started racing. She told herself it was just anger. Every second that passed made her want to end this bastard even more.
She tried to break free, but his other arm locked around her waist, keeping her trapped.
"Why so worked up? If you kill me today, who's gonna protect your family? You think all those Alphas who had it out for your brother won't come hunting? They'll tear your people apart."
Natalia fought against his hold, her expression fierce enough to make any other Alpha think twice.
She turned her head slowly, bringing their faces dangerously close.
He stared at her. The proximity shifted something in his gaze. His eyes dropped from her fierce blue stare down to her lips.
She caught it and let her lips part slightly. Her fangs extended as she spoke.
"Let me go and find out what I'll do to my brother's biggest enemy."
Adrian released her immediately. She spun around and drove her claws deep into his chest.
Adrian sucked in a sharp breath through his teeth. He squeezed his eyes shut and let his head fall back against the wall.
She started laughing as she watched him suffer. Seeing him in pain gave her this sick rush of satisfaction. She was the one making him feel this way.
"I used to be just some ordinary girl who wanted a happy life with her husband. But you turned me into this. Why are you closing your eyes now, Adrian Miller? Open them. Look at this monster you created. Look at what you did to me. The woman you tried to throw away came back stronger, turned into something wild and dangerous."
Adrian slowly opened his eyes. They were completely calm, like he hadn't been hissing in pain just seconds before.
Natalia looked down at his chest and tried to drive her claws deeper, just like she had that night during the war.
But suddenly her claws felt like they'd hit a live wire. Pain shot through her entire body, making her eyes go wide with shock.
She jerked her claws back and stared at him.
"What the hell are you?"
