Alpha's Twins Chapter 110

The second I walked through the pack gates, that familiar breeze hit my face and instantly brightened my mood. God, it felt good to be home again.

My driver was already waiting at the airport when we landed. He grabbed our bags while Damia and I made our way to the car. After dropping her off at her place, I finally pulled into the pack house just as the sun was setting.

The moment I stepped through the front door, two little tornadoes came barreling toward me.

I dropped to my knees and scooped them both up in a massive bear hug.

"Mommy!"

"My babies!"

Over their heads, I caught sight of Jason and Eric grinning at our reunion. I reluctantly let go of the twins and walked over to hug my brother.

"Everything okay while I was gone?"

"Course it is, little sis. What made you think something was wrong?"

I glanced between him and Eric. "Well, you called Eric over here, so I figured..."

"Everything's fine. But just so you know, he's not just your assistant—he's the beta of this pack. Sometimes his Alpha needs him too." The way he said it, all teasing and mock-serious, made everyone laugh.

"Jason!" I swatted his arm playfully.

"Mommy, we missed you so much," Noah piped up, tugging on my shirt.

"Mommy, this is for you," Aria said, carefully handing me a folded piece of paper.

I unfolded it to find a drawing of a woman waving at two children while pulling a suitcase. Aria had always been amazing at art—she had this way of putting her feelings into her sketches that just blew me away.

I kissed her cheek and pulled them both close again. "Mommy missed you guys too. Come on, let's go upstairs. I brought you so many goodies."

Taking their hands, I glanced back at Jason and Eric. Jason gave me a quick nod—his way of saying 'go ahead, spend time with your kids.'

One of the staff members had already brought my luggage up from the car. I thanked her as she gave a polite bow and headed back downstairs.

The twins absolutely lost their minds when I showed them the clothes I'd picked out for them. They were so excited they started bouncing on the bed like it was a trampoline. Watching them be so happy had me laughing and shaking my head at their energy.

Later, when dinner time rolled around, one of the maids came to tell me Jason wanted to see me in the dining room. I'd been in my room taking a shower after hanging out with the kids.

When I got downstairs, Jason and Eric were already seated at the table.

"Where are Noah and Aria?"

"They ate earlier," Eric said.

"Oh, good."

I pulled out the chair next to Jason and sat down. We ate in relative silence, but I could feel him watching me.

"Something on your mind?" I finally asked.

"Finish eating first. We've got a lot to talk about."

My stomach dropped, and suddenly I wasn't hungry anymore. I knew exactly what he meant—he was going to grill me about the whole Adrian situation.

What scared me most was how angry he was going to be. The fact that he hadn't even called me while I was away? That was Jason's way of letting me know he was pissed.

When I noticed him eyeing my half-empty plate, I forced myself to keep eating.

As soon as we finished, we moved to the living room to have our conversation.

"Jason—"

"Where did he take you that night?" He cut straight to the chase.

I looked away, my mind racing. How could I possibly tell my brother where Adrian had taken me? What he'd done to me?

"I'm waiting for an answer, Natalia."

"He just wanted to talk—"

"That's the same excuse you gave me after the council party."

I stared down at my hands when I saw the fury building in his eyes. "I think he just wanted to put out that news story to embarrass me."

He nodded slowly. "He's always trying to humiliate you, isn't he?"

I nodded back, and I watched his eyes go dark with anger.

"This time, I'm going to show him what real humiliation looks like."

I frowned, confused. "What are you planning to do?"

"That's not your concern," Eric jumped in.

"But I can't let two packs go to war over some stupid news story," I shot back.

Jason stared at me for a long moment, making my nerves spike.

"Would you care if I had to fight him someday?"

I shook my head quickly. "Why would you even say that? I never want that to happen."

"So who matters more to you? Him or me?"

"You, of course."

"Then what are you so afraid of? Don't you trust your brother? You don't think I can beat him?"

His words sent a chill through me. Could he actually win against Adrian?

Don't get me wrong—Jason was incredibly strong, a brilliant fighter and strategist. But what I'd witnessed in that forest... Adrian's wolf was something else entirely. Something terrifying.

"I know you can win any fight. But I don't want any fighting right now. Please, Jason. Don't start a war with the Crystal Blood Pack."

He sighed and stood up, walking over to rest his hand on my head.

I looked up at him, tears already starting to form.

"I love you. I love Mom and Dad. War means risking losing family members, and I can't lose any of you."

He gently wiped away the tears that had started falling. I couldn't believe just thinking about war was making me cry.

I'd never seen a real war, and I never wanted to.

"I'm not starting a war with anyone. But what he's doing to you? I won't stand for it. He had the nerve to touch my sister after I warned him to stay away. I'm going to crush his arrogance, and soon."
