Alpha's Twins Chapter 150
I stumbled to my feet and grabbed both of Adrian's hands.
"Don't do this to me, Adrian. I'll forget everything you've done in the past. Please, I'm begging you—don't take them away from me."
He stared at me with those cold eyes, like he was getting off on watching me break down.
"Adrian, I'll die without them."
His gaze bore into mine, as if the pain tearing through my heart wasn't enough for him. He wanted to twist the knife deeper. So he said:
"What makes you think I give a damn whether you live or die? You gonna die over this? Then go ahead and die."
He shoved my hands away so hard I nearly hit the ground.
Beta Patrick caught me before I could fall. "You should just let them go," he muttered under his breath, not even looking at me.
"Martin!"
I heard my mother's voice and spun around.
My eyes went wide when I saw my father with his hands clasped in front of Adrian. I shook my head in disbelief.
Nothing in this world was more humiliating for an Alpha than begging another Alpha.
"DAD!"
I screamed, rushing toward him. He didn't listen to me, just kept staring at Adrian.
"Those children are the only thing my daughter has ever wanted in life. Please don't take them from her. I'll do whatever you want, but please don't do this to my daughter, Alpha."
I'd never seen my father like this before. He'd never bowed to anyone. He'd always been respectful, sure, but he'd earned everyone's respect in return.
But today, for his daughter's happiness, he threw all his pride aside and bowed his head to another man.
Adrian looked down at my father and replied:
"What could you possibly do for me? Everything you have is mine now. There's nothing left you can give me. And this whole act doesn't suit you, Alpha Martin."
How could someone be so heartless?
He stood there towering over my father, who kept his head down. I threw my arms around Dad, begging him to stop, but he wouldn't listen.
"Remember when you warned me to stay away from your daughter?" Adrian said after a long pause.
My father looked up at him.
Adrian's gaze shifted from him to me as he said:
"I was stubborn enough not to listen to your warning. But then I realized your daughter isn't worth it."
The hatred burning in my chest was almost unbearable. I wanted to growl, to attack him right there. But I forced myself to stay in control. I wasn't alone—my parents were here.
Adrian took a few steps back and turned away from us.
"You were worried about your daughter because of me. Well, you won't have to worry about that anymore."
He downed the rest of his drink in one gulp and said:
"I'm setting your daughter free today."
