Alpha's Twins Chapter 210
"I can't believe Natalia Hansley is actually here."
"I heard Alpha Jason is dying. If he were healthy, he never would've let her stay."
"Yeah, but it's all Alpha Jason's fault. He had the nerve to disrespect Alpha Adrian. Nobody walks away from Alpha Adrian's wrath."
"No wonder she's homeless now. Alpha Adrian crushed the Hansleys' pride. Though I guess it's decent of him to give her shelter here. I heard she's working at some coffee shop. Talk about a fall from grace."
Natalia caught every whispered word as she walked toward the door.
She clenched her jaw, fighting back her rage. Her hand shot out to grab the door handle, and she yanked it open, slamming it shut behind her. She stormed toward the elevator.
A young man nearly jumped out of his skin when he saw her burst from the meeting room. He rushed over, blocking her path.
"Miss Natalia, where are you going? Alpha's office is that way."
Natalia looked up at him, her icy stare making him flinch.
But he was Adrian's assistant, and without Adrian's permission, he couldn't let her leave.
Natalia's voice was deadly calm. "Move. Before I do something you'll regret."
Meanwhile...
Adrian's glare swept across the room after Natalia left. He'd heard every damn word they'd said about her and her family.
The second the door slammed shut, Adrian exploded.
"Shut your fucking mouths."
Everyone's eyes went wide. Some of these were powerful Alphas in their own right. They had no idea Natalia was his ex-wife.
They couldn't understand why Adrian was protecting a woman whose brother had humiliated him in front of everyone.
"Alpha Adrian, if we may ask... why are you defending her?"
Adrian shot to his feet, and the room went dead silent. He was one of the most powerful Alphas alive, and crossing him meant destruction. They hadn't come here to piss him off—they'd come to make deals.
Adrian's eyes burned as they swept across every face in the room.
"If any of you talk about her or her family again, I'll come for yours. I showed her family mercy, but I won't show you the same. Remember that before you open your mouths."
Everyone swallowed hard, heads dropping.
Day after day, Adrian's influence spread like wildfire through the packs. He controlled so many territories now, and his business tactics left everyone in awe. If they wanted to keep their packs independent, they had to play by his rules.
Adrian turned to his officials, who sat stone-faced in their chairs, showing nothing.
Without a word, he left the room like a hurricane passing through. Everyone sat frozen until they heard the meeting room door click shut.
Beta Patrick stared at the closed door for a long moment. A small smirk tugged at his lips.
He shook his head and stood up.
"Meeting's over, Alphas. See you next time."
