Alpha's Twins Chapter 77
**Natalia's POV**
I watched my brother give Adrian a warning. Adrian just stood there, staring back at Jason with that blank expression of his.
My brother was absolutely right. The guy had zero shame. He still had the nerve to walk up to me and my brother after everything came out.
Lucky for him, I hadn't told my brother about all the crazy accusations Adrian had thrown at me. Otherwise, Jason would've torn him apart right here at this party.
Jason and Adrian were locked in this staring contest like they'd been enemies forever. I glanced around at the other Alphas nearby. Some of them looked pretty freaked out by the tension between these two. But others were too busy checking me out.
I shook my head and grabbed Jason's arm.
"Hey, I think Dad's looking for us. Let's go."
Jason got what I was doing. He nodded—he didn't want to cause a scene in front of everyone either.
But his eyes were practically burning with revenge when he looked at Adrian.
I was terrified Adrian might bring up my kids in front of everyone. I figured he'd definitely fire back at Jason with something.
But surprisingly, he stayed calm. You could tell he felt insulted, but he didn't say a word. Just let us walk away.
"That piece of trash! Did you see how arrogant he was? How dare he come over here acting all high and mighty?" Jason growled as we headed toward Dad.
I rubbed his arm. "Calm down. He's always been like this. But I'm glad he finally knows the truth."
He stopped walking and turned to me, patting my head reassuringly.
"Your brother will kill him if he ever tries anything with you again."
I nodded. We made our way over to our parents. Mom immediately grabbed my hand and pulled me aside.
"Are you okay?" she asked, looking worried sick.
"Mom, I'm fine."
She glanced over at Adrian. "Why did he come up to you and Jason? What did he say?"
"Mom, relax. He can't hurt me. You're all here with me."
Mom let out a long breath. As a mother, she was genuinely terrified for her daughter. She'd watched me cry my heart out over that cruel man. All those tears during my pregnancy—she'd seen every single one. She was scared Adrian would hurt me again. I could feel her fear and pain.
I hugged her tight. "Mom, are you happy? You always wanted to tell people about me. Now everyone knows who I really am."
She pulled back and cupped my face.
"Of course I'm happy, sweetheart. For a mother, there's nothing better than being able to claim your children as your own."
After a long talk with Mom, I chatted with Dad for a while. Eric came over asking about my kids. I told him not to worry. He was genuinely caring—I had a feeling he'd make a great father someday when he got married and had his own children.
I turned and headed toward the terrace. I wanted somewhere quiet to call my twins.
When I got to the terrace, this gorgeous moon was shining down on everything.
I smiled looking up at it and dialed William's number.
The second the call connected, I heard Aria's voice.
"Mommy, we're mad at you! You don't care about us anymore."
Her upset tone caught me off guard. "What's wrong, baby? Didn't Aunt Damia tell you I'd spend all day with you tomorrow?"
"Mommy, why are you always so busy? We're all alone in the house. We don't like it. Grandpa and Grandma aren't here either."
I bit my lip. It killed me that I couldn't bring them here. Their mother was powerless. I couldn't introduce them to the world as my children yet. But it was for their own safety.
"Baby, Mommy's sorry. Just wait one more hour, okay? Have you eaten dinner yet?"
"We don't want to eat," Noah said from next to Aria.
"I'm sorry, babies. I promise we'll go out tomorrow. Tell me where you want to go. Mommy will take you anywhere."
"Nowhere. We don't want to go anywhere," Noah shot back angrily.
I went quiet hearing that. I wasn't being a good mother. My babies were mad at me.
My wolf started whimpering. I guess she was feeling my emotions too.
"Mommy, we're sorry. Are you mad at us?" Aria said in a tiny voice.
They misunderstood my silence. They thought I was angry with them.
"No, babies. Mommy loves you both so much. How could she ever be mad at you? You're her whole life."
"Okay, Mommy. Let's go to the park near our school. My friends always go there with their parents," Aria asked.
"Okay, we'll go there," I said, trying to sound happy.
I was relieved to calm them down. I told them to eat dinner and go to sleep. They promised they would.
After hanging up, I let out a sigh of relief.
I figured I should get back to the party since I'd been out here for a while.
As I turned to leave, I froze. My whole body went rigid when I saw Adrian leaning against the wall.
I realized he'd been standing behind me for who knows how long—that's why my wolf had been whimpering earlier.
He wasn't saying anything, but his eyes definitely weren't calm. I looked away and tried to leave the terrace.
Just as I was about to step out, he grabbed my hand and yanked me toward him.
My body slammed against his, and I stared at him wide-eyed.
"Why didn't you tell me he's your brother?"
