Natalia's body jerked violently as the stake was yanked free. The pain that shot through her was beyond words—raw, electric, consuming.

Adrian moved closer and began licking the puncture wound on her neck.

"What the hell are you doing?" she gasped, trying to pull away from him.

His eyes blazed with fury. He looked absolutely livid. As her head cleared, she realized he was healing her.

But why?

Maybe it was his wolf trying to save his mate? Because there was no way in hell Alpha Adrian would actually care about saving her.

Patric let out a warning growl. Adrian's head snapped toward the sound, and he spotted a wolf charging toward the pack house nearby. His gaze shifted to the people pouring out of the building.

Alpha Martin shifted to protect his wife and grandchildren from the attack.

"Dad!"

Natalia screamed through the mind link, trying to stop him from joining the fight.

When Adrian saw a wolf closing in on Aria and Noah, rage unlike anything he'd ever felt exploded inside him.

He was too far away to reach them in time.

So he closed his eyes, fury consuming him. The growl that ripped from his throat was so powerful it made every wolf around him tremble.

It was the kind of growl that could shatter spells and force anyone to submit.

Complete silence fell around him. He opened his eyes and fixed his stare on the wolf near Natalia's children. The creature dropped to the ground, legs shaking uncontrollably.

Suddenly, unfamiliar scents hit Adrian's nostrils—scents he'd never encountered before.

But when he looked at the twins, everything clicked into place. Noah's eyes had turned blue, while Aria's blazed crimson.

The realization hit him like a freight train. That scent he was picking up—it was coming from his children.

Shock crashed over him in waves. He couldn't believe it.

His blood boiled with the most intense anger he'd ever experienced.

He couldn't accept that Natalia had played him like this. Those were his kids, and she'd kept them from him all these years.

Not only that, but when he'd tried to find out the truth, she'd faked the DNA results and told him his children were from some random one-night stand!

He couldn't forget how ready Natalia had been to marry Eric and give his children another man's name while he was still alive.

Slowly, he turned toward Natalia, who was staring at the children with wide eyes.

Adrian growled at her and said,
