Faith Pierce was Natalia's cousin through adoption - technically her dad's side of the family. She had two years on Natalia, age-wise.

When Adrian married Natalia, his old man had sent cash to her entire family as some kind of wedding gift, supposedly so they could "live peacefully." Faith had been riding that wave ever since, living it up even after Natalia divorced Adrian and bailed on the pack.

"W-What did I d-do?" The words barely made it past her trembling lips.

Her legs were practically vibrating - the sheer force of Adrian's presence was crushing her. Her heart hammered against her ribs like she was staring death in the face.

"What did you do?" His voice was ice. "Think real hard about every screwed-up thing you've ever pulled."

Adrian let go of her hair and headed toward his house. "Bring her inside. I've got all night to hear her little confession."

The woman scrambled after him as he worked the lock. Even with her hands zip-tied behind her back, she dropped to her knees beside him, pressing her forehead against his leg like some kind of desperate dog.

"I don't know why I'm here, but please just let me go. I swear I never meant to cross you, Alpha."

Adrian's hand froze on the doorknob. Something dark and terrible crept into his eyes - something she'd never seen before.

"You didn't cross me?"

He looked down at her, and that darkness made her blood turn to ice water.

Before Natalia married him, Faith had never even met the guy.

Back then, he'd seemed aggressive sure, but he never actually did anything. People just assumed he was all bark, no bite.
