Alpha's Twins Chapter 176
The second the video ended, I slammed the laptop shut and hurled it across the room.
"Adrian!"
Patric reached for my arm, but I jerked away from him.
"How could I be so fucking stupid? HOW?"
I roared, feeling like my chest was on fire. I couldn't believe it—Natalia was innocent. She hadn't drugged me at all.
Hell, she didn't even look like she was trying to trap me.
It was all her damn cousin.
"Bring that bitch to me. Now. I'm gonna kill her."
I barked at my guys, and they all dropped their heads immediately.
I dragged my hands through my hair, about ready to lose it completely.
Natalia was innocent!
She wasn't the one who drugged me. She wasn't trying to trap me or play some game. Because of those drugs, I was probably the one who came onto her. She was just trying to protect herself.
"WHY?"
I slammed my fist into the glass desk. Blood streamed down my knuckles as the glass shattered.
"Calm down, Adrian."
Patric and Benjamin grabbed my arms, trying to stop me from tearing the whole place apart.
"Alpha, please. You need to control yourself. We're at the company," Delta Julian reminded me.
I was completely losing it. I never thought the truth would hit me this hard.
"Did you not hear me? Get that bitch in here. NOW." I yelled at them again.
Theta Emon nodded and looked at the others. "I'll go find Natalia's cousin," he said, heading for the door.
"Why would that woman drug you if she wasn't planning to send Natalia to your room?" Julian asked, looking confused.
"It's obvious. She wanted to sleep with me herself, but she also wanted to destroy the gamma's daughter's reputation by sending her to some old pervert's room instead."
I clenched my fists tighter, making my right hand bleed even more.
Suddenly, Natalia's words echoed in my head: "I thought you would kill my children."
My eyes went wide. I couldn't hide my shock anymore.
Was she telling the truth? Was that the only reason she divorced me and ran? Was that why she'd been hiding them from me? Was she just trying to protect them from me?
Patric, my best friend and beta, pulled me over to the couch and made me sit down.
"Here," he said, pulling out a cigarette and offering it to me.
He was trying to calm me down, but all I wanted right then was a bottle of whiskey to numb the chaos in my head.
'All this time, I was hurting for nothing?' I thought.
My wolf was going crazy inside, telling me I'd been wrong from the start. He kept reminding me how I'd hurt our mate without even trying to find out the truth.
I stood up and headed for the door.
Patric called out behind me.
"Where are you going? I can't let you leave in this state."
I opened the door and said,
"I need to talk to her."
