**A FEW MONTHS LATER**

**Natalia's POV**

Today was incredible. My brother moved his finger – actually moved it. Clear as day, proof that he was getting better.

The relief hit me so hard I couldn't even put it into words. At first I just stared, shocked, then it sank in – he's really coming back to us. Soon.

Max deserves all the credit for my brother's recovery.

Turns out he's genuinely one of the good guys. When I agreed to be his girlfriend, I had no clue what I was getting into personality-wise.

But these past few months? I keep discovering new layers to him.

He's not just a healer – there's something almost mystical about him. The guy has abilities that can literally heal anyone. That mark on the back of his neck fascinates me. It glows red every time I touch it.

He says only another healer can see the red glow. I mean, he's my boyfriend, so I trust him on that.

He keeps telling me I've got what it takes to join him in the medical field. So he's been helping me dive deeper into research.

I started studying both herbal remedies and modern medicine.

He's teaching me to create healing potions for different conditions. I nearly fell over when I successfully made my first potion that matched his quality.

It was the same one I'd given Alpha Lucas to save his life.

Max says I'll discover way more about these abilities. He thinks someday I'll even develop a healer's mark like his.

"Natalia, they're here!"

Mom's voice carried up the stairs. Hearing those words, I practically flew out of my bedroom, grinning like crazy.

Walking down the hallway, I could hear their voices drifting through the house. That sound always brings me such peace.

Three days. I hadn't seen them in three whole days, which felt more like three years since they usually spend most of the week with me.

"Mommy!"

Aria and Noah came running the second I stepped into the living room. They'd just walked through the front door.

I dropped down and pulled my babies into a tight hug.

"How are my two favorite people?"

"Mommy, we missed you so much!"

"Hey, what about us?" Dad pretended to pout.

They giggled and ran to hug him, then wrapped their arms around Mom. I stood up, watching them with the biggest smile.

"We missed you too, Grandma and Grandpa!" Aria and Noah chorused.

Standing there, seeing how happy my parents were with them... it just filled my heart.

Aria and Noah have been visiting me for months now.

A few months back, after Adrian left my house that day, he sent the kids over with Delta Julian. He said they could live with me four days a week and stay with him the other three.

I was over the moon. Part of me wondered if Dad had asked him to do this.

I'm still dying to know what Adrian said to my father that day in the study. Dad has never breathed a word about their conversation to me.
