Alpha's Twins Chapter 31
Hanging up the phone, I let out a deep, worried sigh.
The cabin fell completely silent. I set Eric's phone down on the desk.
Resting my palms on the surface, I couldn't stop thinking about going back to see Adrian's father, Alpha Lucas. I'd already decided to return to that pack soon after meeting with him.
"Are you sure you want to go there? It could be dangerous. I don't trust that guy."
"Don't worry. I'll be fine."
"Then let me drive you," Eric said gently.
"No, thanks. I'm going to visit his father, not start a fight. Having you drive me there would just make things worse."
"But how will you—?"
I cut him off. "That pack's right next to ours. I'll drive myself."

That evening, I finished up work. I got up from my chair, left the cabin, and headed outside.
In the lobby, I watched employees heading out for the day.
Damia approached me with a smile. "Miss, it's surprising to see you leaving early."
Most of the time, I stayed late at the company. I always worked late because I had to work hard—I'd need to step into my position soon. This wasn't the time to relax; it was time to take on responsibility.
So I understood the surprise on Damia's face.
"There's something I need to do at home. So I thought I'd leave earlier than usual today," I told her.
We walked toward the company entrance. Damia nodded, understanding.
I spotted a white, gleaming car waiting for me outside. My brother had given me this expensive car as a birthday present last year.
I turned to Damia. "Keep an eye on the project I'm working on. I won't be in the office tomorrow."
Damia looked shocked. "Why? Are you going somewhere?"
The moment the words left her mouth, she covered it, realizing she'd asked a personal question.
I could see her getting nervous. It was because of who I was. Knowing I was the head Alpha's sister and the former Alpha's daughter made her afraid of me.
I took her hand and gave her a warm smile.
"It's okay, Damia. I'm going somewhere tonight. I'll be back soon. Please take care of my work while I'm gone."
My friendly tone made her eyes brighten.
"Of course. Don't worry about anything, and enjoy your vacation."
I raised an eyebrow, realizing she'd misunderstood. I wasn't going on vacation. But I didn't correct her—I let her think what she wanted.
After saying goodbye, I walked to my car. The driver opened the back door for me. I slipped inside and leaned back against the seat.
I wanted to leave for the Crystal Blood Pack tonight. But first, I needed to talk to my father about it.
The moment the car stopped in front of the pack house, I didn't waste any time and went straight to find my father.
I knocked on his office door and heard his voice. I went inside and saw he was with my mother. They were sitting on the couch near his desk.
"Mom, Dad. Good to find you both here," I said, walking over to them.
"I know what you're going to talk about," my father said.
He gestured for me to sit on the couch across from them. My mother smiled at me and said,
"Eric called your father to tell us about Alpha Lucas."
I silently thanked Eric for already discussing this with my father. I didn't have to explain everything.
"I want to leave tonight," I said, expecting them to object to me going there.
My father stayed quiet for a moment. I glanced at my mother, who was also silent.
My father sighed and spoke up.
"Natalia, you know we don't want to lose you again, right?"
"Dad, I'll be fine."
"If you want to go, we won't stop you. But if you need anything or run into trouble there, just call your brother."
Hearing his cold tone, I couldn't help but smile. My father wasn't usually harsh, but anything involving Adrian made him furious. He couldn't forget the condition my brother found me in, in that forest.
My family's hatred for Adrian ran deep.
"I will, Dad."
Standing up, I said, "I'm going to see Aria and Noah."
My mother stopped me. "You can't leave without having dinner with us."
"Okay, Mom."
Leaving my father's office, I headed to my children's room. When I walked in, I noticed Aria drawing something while sitting on the bed.
I made my way over and sat down next to her.
"Aria, mom's going somewhere."
"Where, Mom?" she asked without looking up, completely focused on her drawing.
"You don't know the place. Crystal Blood Pack."
Her hand stopped mid-drawing, and she looked up at me.
"Mom, did you say Crystal Blood Pack?"
I nodded, noticing her unexpected interest in the pack's name.
She smiled at me and asked,
"Mom, will you see that handsome uncle there?"
