Alpha's Twins Chapter 173
I couldn't sleep all night - the past just kept playing on repeat in my head.
After that night, when I woke up the next morning, there was a naked stranger lying next to me under the covers.
I wasn't shocked at all. I figured it was just another girl from the club looking to make some cash selling her body.
But what threw me off was that I couldn't remember a damn thing. I wasn't even sure if we'd actually hooked up. But the purple marks covering her bare back told a different story.
"You okay?"
Patrick's voice snapped me back to reality. I had no clue when he'd walked into my office.
I was sitting on the couch with a cigarette between my fingers. When I looked down at it, the thing was half burned to ash. I'd been so lost in those old memories that I'd completely forgotten about it.
"Yeah," I muttered.
Patrick walked over and dropped into the chair across from me, studying my face.
"They're on their way to the office."
That got my attention. I looked up, eyebrows raised.
"Did they find all the footage?"
"Yep. Quite a few videos actually - that place has cameras everywhere."
"I want every single angle."
"That's exactly what they did. Collected everything and brought it here. They said the club owner was there with his crew, but since you don't trust anyone, they made sure to search through everything together."
He was talking about my other guys. I'd sent them to the club with strict orders to keep their eyes peeled while they hunted for those records. I couldn't afford any screw-ups this time.
"Adrian, what am I supposed to hope for here?" Patrick asked.
I frowned, taking a long drag of my cigarette.
"What do you mean?"
He gave me this look I couldn't quite read. But his answer hit me like a punch to the gut.
"If it was Natalia who did it, it's just going to fuel that hatred burning in your chest, and that's not good for you. And if..."
He trailed off like he didn't need to finish the thought. I looked away.
"We all know she did it."
Patrick shook his head.
"Your heart suddenly doesn't want to believe it anymore. That's why you're obsessing over this. You even bailed on a pack meeting where other head Alphas are waiting for you to show up. You walked away from a huge deal because all you can think about is getting to the truth."
I clenched my fists, trying to keep it together. The pressure in my right hand crushed the cigarette. I tossed it on the floor and stood up.
Right then, someone knocked on my office door.
"Come in."
The words shot out of me. Patrick glanced over like he was taking note of how desperate I sounded.
Three of my guys - Benjamin, Emon, and Julian - walked into the office.
"Where is it?" I asked.
Benjamin walked over and handed me a flash drive.
I didn't waste a second. I rushed to my desk, opened my laptop, plugged in the drive, and started the first video.
The moment the footage began playing, my blood ran cold.
