**Third POV**

"How long are you going to keep staring at her? Just go over there and say whatever's on your mind," Beta Patric said to Adrian.

Adrian's gaze stayed fixed on Natalia. He watched her talking to Lynda, his sharp eyes catching the way she twisted Lynda's wrist.

But for the first time, he didn't want to step between the two women. He was curious to see how far Natalia would push things.

His mind drifted back to the last time she'd broken Lynda's hand.

"What's Lynda even doing here?" Adrian asked Patric.

Patric mindlinked Delta Julian, asking him to come over to the bar area.

As soon as Julian arrived, Patric said, "You handled the guest list. Did you send Lynda an invitation?"

Adrian looked at Julian, waiting for the answer. He sure as hell hadn't invited Lynda to this party.

"No way. Actually, I double-checked that list. She wasn't on it."

"So she just showed up without an invitation?" Patric asked.

Adrian turned his attention back to Lynda. Then he spotted his mother walking up to her with some guests in tow. Seeing how thrilled his mother looked while introducing Lynda around, everything clicked into place.

"I know who invited her."

"Who?" Patric and Julian asked in unison.

Adrian nodded toward Lynda's direction. They spotted Grace standing with Lynda, and it all made sense. Grace was the one who'd brought Lynda to the party.

Her agenda was crystal clear—she wanted Adrian to get back together with Lynda.

A little while later, a massive birthday cake appeared in the hall. All the kids gathered around it, staring in wonder.

Aria gazed at the cake with a huge smile. "Look at our birthday cake, Noah! It's so beautiful!"

Noah stayed quiet. He didn't look impressed as he glanced at the cake briefly.

Meanwhile, Natalia picked up on her children's moods. She'd been staying close to them, trying to spend as much time with them as possible.

She kissed Noah's head and asked, "What's wrong with my big boy? Why aren't you happy?"

She'd been asking him what Adrian had said or done to him, but he refused to answer every time.

It hit her that he was exactly like his father—arrogant and stubborn.

"Nothing, Mommy."

Taking her children's hands, Natalia walked toward the birthday cake that stood in the center of the hallway.

"Come to Grandma, babies. Let's cut the cake," Grace called to the twins as she stood there with Lucas.

Natalia looked at her twins and smiled. "Go ahead. She's calling you."

Aria tightened her grip on Natalia's hand, not wanting to let go. She wanted to cut the cake with both her parents together.

"Mommy, come with us."

She pulled Natalia along with her. Noah followed quietly behind them.

Natalia found herself standing with the twins in front of the cake.

All the guests turned to look at her. She spotted Max in the crowd. He gave her an encouraging nod, which made her smile.

"Where's Daddy? Daddy?" Aria suddenly called out.

At that moment, Adrian pushed through the crowd and came to stand next to Aria.

He placed his hand on Aria's head with a smile and glanced at Noah, who completely ignored him.

"Go ahead, princess. Cut the cake."

Everyone watched as Natalia Hansley and Adrian Miller stood together with their twins. It was only happening because of their children.
