Alpha's Twins Chapter 185
I froze when he asked me that question. He wanted to know why I'd agreed to marry him?
*Because I loved you so much. But you crushed that love every single day, Adrian Miller,* I thought, but the words never made it past my lips.
My gaze drifted to the other side of the bridge, where puffy white clouds drifted across a clear blue sky, moving just like the emotions swirling in my chest.
The memories came flooding back, and my mind returned to that night again.
That night, my cousin—who'd made my life hell for years—called me to meet her at some sleazy club downtown. She told me I had to sleep with this guy. I begged her not to make me do it, but she just laughed and said if I didn't go through with it, I wouldn't be walking out of there with my clothes on.
I tried calling my adoptive parents, desperate for help. But my adoptive mom just said she didn't want to get involved in "cousin drama," like she was talking about some petty argument instead of me being forced to sell my body.
I couldn't believe my own cousin was actually going to pimp me out to some old creep. I was terrified. Here I was, a nineteen-year-old virgin, and a werewolf who couldn't even shift.
I had zero power to protect myself.
My life was already a living nightmare, but I wasn't about to lose my virginity by being sold like some piece of meat.
I tried to run from my cousin's guys and crashed right into someone. The moment I looked up, I couldn't help but gasp. For a split second, I thought maybe my luck was finally changing.
It was Adrian!
Adrian Miller!
His name just kept echoing in my head.
He was the guy from all my dreams, the one I'd been crazy about forever. Nobody knew my secret—I'd been in love with him since we were kids.
Who would've thought we'd meet like this?
When I saw those men heading our way, I threw my arms around Adrian and spun him around so they wouldn't spot us.
I could feel his hands on me, almost roaming across my body.
I had no clue what was going on with him. He reeked of alcohol. He lifted his hand to touch my cheek.
"Listen, they're after me. I don't want you getting hurt because of me. So please, just go," I whispered, tears streaming down my face.
Even though I was about to lose everything, all I could think about was keeping him safe.
He smirked and said, "What if I could save you tonight? Would you give yourself to me?"
I was stunned. I glanced over his shoulder and saw those guys getting closer.
I loved Adrian, and honestly, if I had to lose my virginity that night, I'd rather it be to him than some disgusting stranger.
I knew we weren't even in the same league. Hell, I didn't even know if I'd survive the night, let alone what would happen after.
But still, I wanted to be with him, even if it was just for one night.
When I nodded, he looked surprised as he grabbed my hand and pulled me toward a nearby door.
We stumbled into the room, and everything went dark.
He was drunk, but I was stone-cold sober. Since I'd never been with anyone before, his rough movements hurt like hell.
But I let him do whatever he wanted, convincing myself I was the luckiest girl in the world because I was giving myself to the man I loved.
I loved him so much I would've done anything for him—would've given him my whole life.
