Alpha's Twins Chapter 94

"Another pack? Which pack?" I stood up from my chair, suddenly alert.

Eric let out a frustrated sigh. "Look, I've got a buddy in that pack, but he can only feed me info about the competition itself. He's sworn to secrecy about everything else. The intel he shares could influence people's decisions or even scare competitors into backing out."

I got what he was saying. His friend was reliable and wouldn't spill personal details about other people.

"It's fine, Eric. I have faith in our project."

He nodded back at me.

We headed out of my office together since it was time to get back to the pack house.

I was really grateful Eric was helping me out. He wasn't just working as my brother's beta—he was also backing me up with the pack's business ventures.

Beyond thanking him, there wasn't much else I could do for him. I just hoped he'd find his mate soon so he could start living his best life with her.

When I got back to the pack house, I saw my parents getting ready to leave. My brother Jason was standing right next to them.

"Hey Mom, Dad—you guys heading somewhere?" I asked, hurrying over to them.

"Sweetheart, we're going to visit your uncle. He's really sick," Mom said, looking heartbroken.

Her brother lived in another pack, which meant they'd have to be gone for a few weeks if they wanted to see him.

"What's wrong with him?" I asked.

"The doctor says he's... he's in his final days."

I pulled her into a hug, trying to comfort her.

Jason told them to call if they needed him to come out there.

I walked them to the front door and stayed until they drove off.

"Mommy? Where did they go?" Noah's voice came from behind me.

I turned around to see both Noah and Aria walking up to me.

"They went to visit Grandma's brother," I explained.

We all went back inside the pack house. I filled Jason in about my kids.

I had to fly out to another pack tomorrow for the conference, and I was worried about leaving my babies.

"Don't stress about it. I'll watch them. They won't leave the house."

"Thanks, brother."

That night, I slept with my children. I told them not to bother their uncle and to stick with William and the staff. They promised they wouldn't cause any trouble.

The next day, I headed to the company to get everything ready for the project. I called a meeting to go over everything. Every department manager showed up.

Eric got plane tickets for our managing director and financial manager to come with us. Eric and Damia would be traveling with me too.

That evening, I said goodbye to my brother and the kids, then headed to the airport to leave the pack.

It took us six hours to reach our destination—Storm Forest Pack.

I could see Alphas from different packs all over the airport. They were here for the conference too.

"I booked us the best hotel in town," Eric said, grabbing my luggage.

"Beta Eric, can we explore the pack a little?" Damia asked excitedly. This was her first time leaving our pack to visit another one.

"Sure thing. If your boss is cool with it, I can set up a tour. We can celebrate our win after the party."

I looked at him. "After party? What are you talking about?"

"Natalia, Storm Forest Pack throws a celebration party when they sign new agreements. Everyone gets invited."

"Oh."

I didn't want to stick around even if we won the project. I needed to get back to my twins. After landing the deal, we'd have to attend another meeting with this pack, but I'd try my best to head home as soon as that meeting wrapped up.

Hotel staff came to pick us up and drive us there.

We got in the car and drove to our hotel. We'd be staying here tonight and heading to the conference tomorrow.

Once I settled into my hotel room, I called the kids. After chatting with them for a while, I went to bed.

Even with my eyes closed, my mind kept racing about the project I'd come here for. Landing this deal would be huge for my career.

With this contract, I could take our pack's company to the next level—surpassing even the most advanced packs. If Storm Forest Pack agreed to work with us, our economy would see massive growth.

While I was lost in thought, someone knocked on my door.

Without thinking much about it, I sat up. Since I was in my nightgown, I wrapped a robe around myself and went to answer the door.

When I opened it, I was totally caught off guard. Someone was standing there holding a huge bouquet of red roses.

"Excuse me?" I asked, since his face was hidden behind the flowers.

He moved the bouquet aside, revealing an unfamiliar man.

"Miss, this bouquet is for you," he said with a gentle smile.

"For me? I think you've got the wrong room."

He shook his head. "No, miss. Are you Natalia Hansley?"

"Yes, I am."

"Then this is yours."

He handed me the bouquet. I was shocked, but when I noticed his hotel uniform, I figured this was probably a courtesy gesture for all the CEOs attending tomorrow's conference.

After thanking him, I closed the door.

I set the bouquet next to my bed and breathed in the sweet fragrance.

'Who thought it was a good idea to deliver roses this late?' I thought, laughing to myself.

Just as I was about to get back into bed, something in the bouquet caught my eye.

I moved some flowers around and found a small card tucked inside.

I opened the card and read:

"Wishing you the best of luck tomorrow! But word is you seem pretty confident about landing this deal. Let's see if anyone can shake that confidence of yours."
