Alpha's Twins Chapter 267
When Max slipped the ring onto Natalia's finger, applause erupted around them.
But not everyone was clapping with enthusiasm. Some guests looked genuinely confused. Just a few days ago, word had been going around that Alpha Adrian was making a move on Natalia.
Nobody knew if the rumors were actually true, but they were all scared of pissing Adrian off if they were.
Max stood up after pressing a gentle kiss to the back of Natalia's hand.
Natalia threw her arms around him, beaming.
"Thank you for not making me regret this," she whispered.
He pulled her close and murmured in her ear, "I told you—I'm crazy about you. That's why I wanted you with me. All I want is to make you happy."
They both laughed softly as they broke apart.
Meanwhile, across the room on a distant couch, someone was watching them with laser focus.
His grip tightened on his glass until the pressure made it explode in his palm within seconds.
"Alpha!"
Theta Emon gasped.
All the pack officials whipped around to see Adrian, shocked at the blood streaming from his hand.
"Get Harold on the phone, now," Beta Patric barked.
Delta Julian nodded and speed-dialed Harold's number.
He frowned. "Why the hell isn't the pack doctor picking up?"
Everyone looked worried about Adrian. Sure, his palm would heal fast, but what about the glass shards embedded in his skin?
"I can handle basic first aid, Alpha," Gamma Benjamin offered, stepping toward Adrian.
But Adrian didn't budge. His eyes were ice-cold, locked on how close Natalia was standing to Max. Watching her smile at another man felt like a knife twisting in his chest.
He'd never felt anything like this before—not even when he'd seen her with Eric.
Maybe it was because Eric had never proposed to her right in front of his face like this. The way Natalia was being so tender with Max was absolutely destroying him.
His fists clenched again as he watched Natalia blush while hugging that guy.
"When she said 'new life,' she meant a new man," he muttered under his breath.
Gamma Benjamin was young and hot-headed. Seeing the pain written all over his Alpha's face, he couldn't hold back.
"That healer! Let me go kick his ass."
He started toward Max, but Beta Patric grabbed his arm.
"Get your rage under control. That's your Alpha's business to handle. You can't touch the healer—he's not pack, he's our guest of honor."
The beta's icy tone stopped Benjamin cold. He dropped his head and nodded, forcing himself to chill out.
Patric glanced at Adrian as other Alphas started walking over, probably wanting to say their goodbyes.
"Tell them Alpha's tied up. I'm taking him inside. God only knows what kind of storm is brewing behind that quiet act of his," Patric told the others, then reached for Adrian's arm.
Adrian jerked away. When he stood up from the couch, blood started dripping onto the floor.
"I'm out of here."
