Alpha's Twins Chapter 151
Adrian stormed out of the pack house, leaving the three of us sitting in the wreckage of what used to be our life.
I looked over at Mom, who'd been crying for hours straight. Dad just sat there staring at the floor, completely silent.
My chest ached as the pain hit me all over again.
One night. That's all it took for everything to fall apart.
Adrian had destroyed everything. I kept hoping this was all some twisted nightmare—that I'd wake up and things would go back to normal.
But nothing was going back. This wasn't a dream. This was real. Adrian had kicked my family out of the pack, basically making us homeless.
Looking at my parents, I took a shaky breath and pulled out my phone. I scrolled through my contacts until I found someone from Uncle Mike's pack. When the call connected, I cleared my throat.
"Hi, is Aunt Jen available?"
Mom's head snapped up when she heard me. I switched to speaker so she could hear too.
"Yeah, hold on," the voice said, and I heard some shuffling before the phone was passed along.
"Who is this?" came the voice of a middle-aged woman.
"Aunt Jen, it's Natalia. How are you holding up?"
"Well, considering your uncle's gone, how do you think I'm doing?" Her tone was ice-cold.
I blinked, caught off guard by how harsh she sounded. I swallowed hard and pressed on.
"Listen, Mom and Dad are in a really bad spot right now. I was wondering if maybe they could come stay with your pack for a little while? Just until we figure things out."
Without missing a beat, she snapped back, "Absolutely not. Don't even think about dumping them on me. I'm not taking on anyone else's problems. I heard what happened to your pack, and I'm sorry for your loss, but I don't want any drama. Don't call me again."
She hung up before I could say another word.
I stared at my phone in shock, then slowly turned to look at Mom, who was shaking her head in disbelief.
"We've been sending them money for years," Mom said, her voice breaking. "Helping them live the good life. Never asked for anything back. When they visited, we always welcomed them with open arms—especially her. After Mike died, I gave her my most expensive jewelry so she'd never have to worry about money again. Your father got her kids jobs at major companies. And now we're a *burden*?"
The hurt in her voice was crushing. I wished Uncle Mike was still alive. Maybe he would've helped us.
Or maybe he would've turned his back on us too.
At this point, I couldn't trust anyone.
Jason had been right all along. There wasn't a single person I could count on.
I was already falling apart after losing my kids to Adrian. I couldn't lose my parents too.
I was trying to figure out our next move when Gamma Benjamin walked back into the pack house.
I looked up at him through my tears. "What are you doing here? What's your Alpha want now? For you to finish us off?"
He glanced at my parents, then focused on me.
"Alpha wants me to tell you to move to your new house in Crystal Blood Pack."
My parents looked stunned. I frowned at him. "Our new house?"
"Yeah. Alpha bought a house for the former Alpha's family to live in."
"But we can't just leave my brother here. What's Adrian planning to do with him? Kill him when no one's looking?"
Benjamin sighed heavily. "If he wanted him dead, he would've killed him during the battle. Don't overthink it. Alpha says he's turning Jason's treatment over to his pack's head doctor. Starting today, Doctor Harold will be handling his care."
