**Natalia's POV**

"This has nothing to do with you, Adrian. Just let go of my daugh—"

Adrian cut the call, and rage shot through my veins like fire. I pulled the phone away from my ear and stared at the blank screen.

Just minutes ago, when Beta Patrick called to tell me about Aria, relief had flooded through me—I'd finally found her. Until that moment, I'd been searching like a woman possessed, like I'd lost my only reason for living.

But when I realized Aria was with Adrian, a whole new kind of terror gripped me. I had no clue what to do.

How could Adrian be so heartless? Kidnapping a little kid!

"What'd he say?" Eric's hand landed on my shoulder.

I turned to face him and shook my head.

"That bastard said he wants to know about their father. I think he's figured something out."

Eric's eyebrows shot up. "What does he know?"

"I don't know, Eric. He said he'd send me an address. But he won't let me take my daughter until I tell him the truth. How can I do that?"

I yanked at my hair in frustration. No matter how much success I'd achieved or how many deals I'd stolen from that man, he knew exactly where to hit me where it hurt.

I was in my bedroom now. My whole family knew Aria had disappeared, and they were doing everything they could to find her. When Patrick called, I told them one of my friends had found her. I couldn't risk them contacting Adrian directly. What if he hurt Aria?

"Natalia, what are you doing?" Eric asked as I headed toward my closet.

I ignored him and opened the closet door. After unlocking a hidden drawer, I pulled out a gun.

Eric's eyes went wide. "Have you lost your mind?"

He tried to grab the gun, but I twisted away from him.

"Don't try to stop me, Eric. That son of a bitch wants the truth? Fine. I'll tell him everything today. I'll spill my guts and then put a bullet in him. I won't let that monster hurt any of my kids. Before he even thinks about it, I'm taking him down."

Eric shook his head. "Don't do anything stupid. Just listen to me."

"NO, I CAN'T!" I screamed when he grabbed my wrist.

Tears streamed down my face, but my eyes burned with fury.

"What do you think he'll do to my children once he knows the truth? He's Adrian Miller. That psycho will never let me live in peace with them. He'll either hurt them or rip them away from me. I—I can't lose them."

I bit my lip hard, fighting back both tears and rage.

I stared at the gun and nodded. "So this is the only way to stop him. I'd rather be a killer than lose my children."

Eric grabbed both my wrists and wrestled the gun away from me just as I was about to check if it was loaded.

"You can't do this, Natalia. Please, think this through. We can't hurt him when he's here as a guest for the party Jason organized. It's against pack law. Jason would pay the price for this. We can't harm a visiting Alpha. It'll start a war. That's why killing is only allowed during actual warfare."

I stared at Eric as reality hit me. I couldn't put my brother in danger because of my mess.

"Then what the hell am I supposed to do?" I asked, my patience completely shot.

Eric put the gun back in the closet and shut the door. Jason had given me that gun for protection.

Eric pulled me into a hug, and I broke down sobbing. "I don't know what to do anymore. Once he knows the truth, what's he gonna do to us?"

Eric gently stroked my hair, trying to calm me down. But his next words made my blood turn to ice.

"He'll never learn the truth. Your children are protected by spells."

I slowly pulled back and looked up at him.

"W-What?"

"When they were born, Alpha Martin brought Qadir to the pack house to bless them. But your mother asked him to do something to keep their father from recognizing them. You know how powerful Qadir is—he's got wizard blood and can cast any spell. He masked their scents so no one could detect them unless someone breaks the spell."

I stepped back, stunned. When had my parents done this? I had no idea.

It suddenly made sense why Adrian, despite being such a powerful Alpha, couldn't smell his own children. His wolf couldn't recognize his own pups. It was all because of the spell.

"W-What if he's found out somehow? Maybe that's why he's calling me?"

Eric shook his head. "Nobody can break Qadir's spells. He's not just any wizard. Plus, his wolf helped him cast it. When a wolf assists a witch or wizard with their magic, it becomes incredibly powerful. You can't even imagine how strong it is."

I felt a small wave of relief wash over me. "What should I tell him?"

"Just lie."

My phone buzzed with a message from Adrian. He'd sent me the hotel address.

Looking at the message, I whispered to myself, "I'm coming for you, Aria. Just don't let that bastard intimidate you."
