Alpha's Twins Chapter 132

5 min 30.7K views

When Adrian's fighters told him about some big alpha joining the fight, he spun around to see who could possibly have his wolves so spooked.

But the second his eyes landed on the wolf standing across the battlefield, his whole body went rigid.

The wolf from his nightmares—the one that had been haunting him—was real. And it was right there.

"Adrian, I'm heading your way. Got our main fighters moving toward the pack house like you wanted," came Patric's voice through the mind link. But Adrian couldn't look away from that black wolf. Those eyes had always seemed mysterious in his dreams, but now... now they looked familiar.

"Who are you?" he called out.

"Your death," came the reply.

Adrian's blood ran cold. He knew that voice. He *knew* it, but couldn't wrap his head around what he was hearing.

He'd always thought it was a male wolf, but this was clearly a female alpha. And not just any female alpha—this was Natalia. His ex-wife.

Pure rage twisted her features as she charged straight at him.

His fighters tried to intercept her, but Adrian could see just how powerful she'd become. Just like in his dreams, those blue eyes blazed as she tossed his wolves aside like they were nothing, cutting a path straight to him.

When Natalia got close enough, her growl sent every wolf around her trembling—everyone except Adrian.

Still in shock, he just stood there staring.

Seeing he wasn't moving, Natalia didn't hesitate. She launched herself at him without a second thought.

The entire battle seemed to pause as everyone watched one massive black wolf tackle another. They were nearly identical in size, their fur gleaming under the moonlight.

The sharp pain of Natalia's claws at his throat snapped Adrian back to reality, and he tried to shove her off.

"You deserve to die," her voice cut through the mind link.

Her claws raked across his ribs, sending numbing pain through his body. These weren't ordinary claws—they dug deeper than any wolf he'd ever faced.

"Do yo—"

"You came here to kill my brother. How could you? Now let's see who kills who."

She kept digging her claws deeper into his ribs, making him groan as she cut off any chance for him to speak.

Suddenly, something slammed into Natalia, knocking her away from Adrian.

She whipped her head around to see a brown wolf snarling at her.

She frowned, then recognized Beta Patric.

Before she could react, another wolf jumped her—a gray one with razor-sharp teeth.

Benjamin, Adrian's Gamma.

Natalia remembered how fiercely loyal he was to his Alpha. She glared at him.

"I'm here to kill your Alpha. Walk away now, and I'll let you all live."

Gamma Benjamin snarled back. "You traitorous bitch! You want to kill my Alpha? You'll have to go through all four of his officers first."

"Fine by me, Gamma."

Natalia lunged at him, sinking her teeth into his neck. But before she could bite down hard, Adrian yanked his gamma away from her.

Natalia fixed her glare on Adrian and growled. He actually backed away as she stalked toward him.

She could feel it—she had the upper hand. The sick satisfaction of seeing him afraid of her was intoxicating.

She locked eyes with him, her blue meeting his red.

"All these years, you've hurt me, Alpha Adrian. Today, on this battlefield, I'm going to show you exactly how much I hate you."

Her words made Adrian stop backing up. She didn't care why.

Rage consumed her completely. She had no plan for how to kill him—her mind had gone blank with fury.

So she went straight for his chest, claws ripping through flesh. Blood poured out, but he didn't even flinch, which only made her angrier. She dug deeper, tearing at his chest.

Patric and Benjamin rushed forward to attack her, but she didn't notice.

It was Adrian's sharp glare that stopped them cold. Their eyes went wide—they couldn't believe what their Alpha was doing.

Patric growled at Adrian in frustration. Adrian growled back but still didn't push Natalia away.

While he writhed in agony, Natalia bit down on his leg, making him squeeze his eyes shut. When she finally let go, she went for his throat—ready to finish him.

But suddenly Noah and Aria's faces flashed through her mind, freezing her in place.

*How can I kill my children's father?* The thought hit her like a punch to the gut.

Then something else caught her attention.

She glanced at Patric and Benjamin, who looked furious with her, then slowly turned back to Adrian, who was just staring at her without trying to stop her from hurting him.

*What are they doing here? Weren't they supposed to be going after my brother?*

That's when she heard it—a piercing howl that made her heart stop.

She recognized that voice. Jason.

Her head snapped toward the sound, and she realized it was coming from the direction of the pack house.

Panic hit her.

She took off running, completely forgetting about Adrian behind her.

But if Adrian was here, then who the hell was attacking her brother?

The moment she got close to the pack house, her eyes went wide.

Someone had driven a wooden stake through Jason's leg.

She let out a furious growl at the attacker. But when he turned around, she nearly stumbled backward.

"Alpha Leo?"
