Alpha's Twins Chapter 274
I drove over to my pack house. On the way, I shot a text to the one person I really needed to talk to.
When I pulled up to the pack house, I parked and got out. The driveway was packed with cars—all my officers were already inside.
The moment I walked through the door, I found them sitting around the living room. They all stood up when they saw me.
"You okay, Alpha?" Theta Emon asked, worry clear in his voice.
"I'm fine."
I walked over and dropped onto one of the couches. I was exhausted, but my mind was racing with other things.
"Any orders for us?" Gamma Benjamin asked.
I looked over at Patric, who was giving me that look—the one that said he knew something was up. That's why he was my best friend. He could read me like a book.
"What happened?" he asked.
I told them what I'd found in Natalia's diary about Lynda.
Their faces went slack with shock. But Patric just looked calm, maybe a little confused.
"I knew something was off about that woman. Nobody's that innocent," he said.
As soon as he said it, I remembered all the times he'd warned me about Lynda—how she wasn't right for me, how she'd never make a good Luna for our pack.
I'd always brushed off his advice because I felt like I owed her. She'd saved my life, and giving her my name, my respect, the position beside me—it seemed like the least I could do.
Gamma Benjamin spoke up quietly, "I don't think Natalia was lying."
From his reaction, it was obvious he trusted Natalia more than the woman who'd been his Alpha's girlfriend for years.
Was it because Natalia had healed his wounds?
"I think so too," Delta Julian added.
I stayed quiet, listening to their opinions, my eyes fixed on the door.
When Patric noticed where I was looking, he asked, "What are you staring at?"
Right then, everyone heard a knock at the door. All heads turned.
"Who the hell's here this late?" Theta Emon muttered.
"Open it," I told him.
He got up and walked to the door. When he opened it, Lynda was standing there.
"Lynda?"
She shoved past him and walked right in.
"Your Alpha called me here himself. Said he wanted to see me."
After snapping that at Theta Emon, she turned around with a smile. Her eyes found me sitting with my men.
She looked uncomfortable seeing all the other officers here. She probably thought I was drunk and wanted some company after losing my mind watching the woman I loved with another man.
But this was something else entirely.
She walked over with a confused expression.
Standing in front of me, she smiled and said, "You wanted to see me, Adrian. I'm here for you."
