Alpha's Twins Chapter 260
Adrian's POV
"Bed service?"
Why did she say that? My mind went blank after hearing her words. She thought my feelings for her were just about sex.
Did she really think I was some horny guy who couldn't keep it in his pants?
Natalia laughed at me. "Alpha Adrian, you should eat some nuts. Are you losing your memory already? You're way too young for that."
"What do you mean?" I snapped, anger flaring up.
The truth was, whenever this woman stood in front of me, I lost all control, no matter how pissed off I got at her.
She was the one who could calm my racing heart and set it on fire at the same time.
"Just because I didn't take your card and left it at your place the day we got divorced, you forgot why you gave it to me in the first place?"
That brought back memories of our divorce day. The second I remembered what I'd said to her, I wanted to punch myself.
That wasn't what I meant to say. I was furious with her back then because she kept begging for the divorce. I thought I hated her at the time. But everything changed after that one night.
I took a step back. "I didn't mean it like that."
The look she gave me cut right through me. Why did she only have painful memories of us?
Natalia took a deep breath. "Adrian, let's make a deal."
My eyebrows shot up. "What kind of deal?"
"Make sure my kids have good lives. I'll never get in your way of raising them. I'm willing to give up my happiness for their sake. You're only causing trouble because of them, right?"
I couldn't say a word. I had no idea how this woman's mind worked.
Did she honestly think she'd even get to see them today if I wanted to keep them from her?
Even though her words were tearing my heart apart, I couldn't stop staring at how beautiful she was.
What the hell was wrong with me?
I wasn't treating her like I treated everyone else. If it were any other woman and I wanted her, I would've locked her up and thrown away the key.
But this was her. Why couldn't I just force her to go back to being the old Natalia, the one who used to be my wife?
"You can see them whenever you want from now on. You don't need anyone's permission."
Natalia's eyes went wide. "You're actually letting me see them? What's the catch?"
I shook my head and couldn't help but laugh.
"Looks like you still don't know me at all."
I paused, then said, "Just stay away from that Max guy."
Natalia crossed her arms. "Why? Does it bug you that another man can look you straight in the eye when he talks to you?"
"You better not push me to do something you'll regret later."
"That's all you can do—make threats. You can't actually do anything."
Natalia walked past me toward the door.
Even though we were fighting, I felt good the whole time. But watching her walk away from me broke my heart.
I turned around and called out.
"I broke up with Lynda."
