"Feelings for him?" Natalia whispered to herself.

Did she still have feelings for him?

The answer was crystal clear.

Memories from the past came flooding back as tears welled up in her eyes.

**FLASHBACK**

"Natalia, do you still love that man?" Luna Jade Hansley of the Blue Blood Pack asked.

It had been eight months since Natalia returned to the pack.

Jade had been watching her daughter closely all this time. Natalia looked so depressed and pale.

When she and her husband, Alpha Martin Hansley, got their daughter back eight months ago, they were over the moon. Even though her name was Jessica, they started calling her 'Natalia' because that's what she wanted.

All they wanted was to see Natalia smile. They tried to give her the life of luxury she deserved—everything she'd been missing all these years.

But Natalia never forgot her past. Every night, she cried alone in her room. Everyone knew, but no one said anything.

"No, Mom," Natalia replied quietly.

She stood by her bedroom window, staring at the tree outside. Two birds had built their nest there. She was fascinated by how creative they were. That nest was their home because they'd built it together with love.

Jade turned Natalia around, taking her hand.

"Stop thinking about that man. He doesn't deserve you."

Natalia gave her a sad smile. "No, Mom. Maybe I was never meant for him anyway."

Jade was caught off guard by her response. She cupped Natalia's cheeks, trying to get through to her.

"Don't talk like that. Why are you always so down? You're not alone here. The people who love you are right by your side. And your babies will be with you in just two weeks."

Natalia slowly placed her hand on her belly and let out a deep breath.

Her mother was right. Just two weeks. She wouldn't be alone anymore after that.

She hugged her mother, who was always trying to lift her spirits.

After their talk, her mother left the room.

Natalia turned back to the window.

In all these months, she'd never heard anything about Adrian thinking of her. If he really cared, he would've sent someone to look for her here.

*How can you be so heartless, Adrian?* Natalia thought as tears streamed down her face.

When she left the Crystal Blood Pack, she thought she could survive without Adrian—that she didn't need anyone.

But after leaving him, she realized she could never forget him. She never stopped thinking about him. She cried for him every single day, and when her family asked why her eyes were puffy the next morning, she made up excuses.

Her family thought she was hurting because of her past, but they had no idea about the daily pain she endured because of her pregnancy.

The pack doctor had warned her that the pain from this pregnancy could literally kill her.

But Natalia loved her unborn children. She'd been quietly suffering through it all.

She made the doctor promise to keep it secret from everyone.

Later that afternoon, Natalia was walking down the hallway, wondering when those two weeks would finally be over. She hoped time would fly by.

Suddenly, she heard her brother Jason's angry voice coming from near his bedroom.

Her steps stopped as she tried to figure out why her brother was so pissed off.

"How dare he?" Jason said furiously.

"Calm down, Jason," Beta Eric, Jason's best friend, told him.

Natalia couldn't make out what they were talking about. She moved closer to the door and noticed it was slightly open. She strained to listen.

"That bastard should die. He screwed over my sister so badly. How dare he live such a happy life?" Jason demanded.

Natalia didn't need to guess who he was talking about.

"Jason, don't you think what's happening is right for everyone?" Beta Eric asked.

"Right? My sister is constantly crying over that asshole, while he's living it up with his mistress."

Natalia felt her heart shatter when she heard Jason's words.

*He's living with Lynda? Is he going to marry her? Does his family accept them together?* So many questions raced through her mind.

A sharp pain shot through her, and she stepped back.

"Why am I even thinking about him? Isn't this what I wanted? I wanted to leave him. He said he didn't love me. So why do I care? Why?" she mumbled to herself as she headed back to her room.

She broke down crying as memories of her and Adrian flooded her mind.

Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach.

"Ahhh!"

She grabbed her belly as a searing sensation shot through her lower abdomen. She thought it was just the daily pain she'd been dealing with.

But her knees started shaking from the agony. She lost her balance and collapsed to the floor.

She screamed when she saw blood pooling beneath her.

"MOM!"

She cried out in pain, calling for her mother. She was terrified she was going to lose her children.

Her mother and several maids rushed to her room. They were horrified to find Natalia covered in blood on the floor.

Everyone mind-linked Alpha Martin and Jason immediately. They quickly got Natalia to the pack hospital.

"This is critical. Who should we save? Mother or children?" the nurses asked the pack doctor.

The pack doctor was about to ask Natalia's family when she weakly grabbed his hand and whispered with a shaky voice:

"Please, save my children."

The operation went on for hours.

Natalia's family wanted her to be saved. They waited outside the operating room, worried sick and praying for her ever since the pack doctor had asked them to sign the papers.

When they heard the sounds of crying babies, their hearts dropped, fearing they'd lost Natalia.

They thought she was gone.

The pack doctor came out of the operating room with two nurses holding two babies.

"No, no. My daughter can't be dead," Jade cried out.

Since the doctor had specifically told them that only one could survive, she assumed Natalia had died.

"Doctor, couldn't you save my daughter? Where is she?" Alpha Martin asked.

The doctor smiled at him and replied:

"Don't worry, your daughter is a blessing from the Moon Goddess. She cheated death itself."
