Natalia stared at Adrian, who hadn't moved from on top of her.

'He's going to heal my wound? How? Why?' she wondered.

Her eyes went wide as she remembered how he'd healed her fingers before.

"No, I don't need your help," she said immediately.

Adrian watched her face and smirked.

"Looks like your memory's coming back."

Natalia tried to push him away, but he was way stronger than her.

"Adrian, I feel like crap. Don't mess with me right now."

Adrian ignored her and looked down. He slowly shifted his weight onto his knees so he wouldn't crush her.

His other hand moved toward the buttons of her shirt.

Natalia shook her head. "Don't you dare, Adrian Miller."

He frowned at her. "It's not like I haven't seen it all before. I still remember every single mark on your body."

She looked away, her cheeks burning red.

"You're shameless!" she muttered.

He chuckled. "Crazy woman, just breathe and relax. You'll be fine soon."

Adrian undid the second button to get a better look at the wound.

His eyes flashed red when he saw the claw marks clearly. They covered half her upper chest and stretched several inches below her collarbone.

Natalia shook her head, feeling awkward. She tried to pull her hand free.

"Stop staring at me like that. Your eyes are making me sick."

When Adrian looked up at her, she froze. His eyes were blazing with intensity. She bit her lip and held her breath.

"I won't let you get weaker like this. You're strong, and you should stay that way. Let me heal you."

His words sounded almost like he was asking permission.

The fever was making her dizzy and confused. She didn't know what to say.

"Adrian."

The moment his name left her lips, he leaned down toward her chest. Half her breasts were visible now.

He tried to keep the shirt positioned to cover her nipple, not wanting to get distracted.

Natalia was about to protest again, but she gasped loudly when she felt his tongue brush against her skin.

Her eyes went wide as she stared at the ceiling in shock.

The touch felt familiar.

It took her breath away.

Even through the fever, it reminded her of all those dreams she used to have about him.

Adrian pressed his mouth against her chest and licked the open wounds that refused to heal.

Natalia curled her toes as pain mixed with something else she didn't want to name.
