Alpha's Twins Chapter 208
Liana turned to me, shaking her head firmly. "No way. I can't let you go there."
I grabbed my bag and ID from the shop, then headed for the door.
Liana caught my arm, stopping me in my tracks. "Natalia, you don't have to do this for me. We'll eat the loss. Nothing's more important than your safety."
She probably thought Adrian would hurt me—or worse. But she had no idea I could handle myself.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine."
I left the shop and flagged down a cab. The employees were helping the delivery driver load coffee into his van.
When the van pulled out, I told my cab driver to follow.
As soon as we arrived at the pack headquarters, I got out and paid the fare.
I craned my neck to look up at the towering glass building. It screamed power and success—the kind of place everyone wanted to work at.
It reminded me of my own company back home. I'd been CEO of our pack's main business, and I knew the kind of influence these corporate leaders wielded. Entire communities depended on them. One decision could change thousands of lives.
Just like my brother Jason's decision. If I'd stood up to him that day and given the contract to Crystal Blood Pack instead, maybe we wouldn't have gone to war.
"Miss?"
I turned to see security guards approaching. "Yes?"
"You're from Moon Lovers Coffee Shop?"
"That's right."
"Perfect."
They helped the delivery driver unload the coffee and headed inside like they knew exactly where everything needed to go.
One guard looked back at me. "There's one more case in the van. Could you grab it and follow us?"
"Sure thing."
I quickly retrieved the last case and trailed behind them.
Walking into the lobby took my breath away. This place made my old company look like a mom-and-pop shop. Everything was sleek and expensive, with employees bustling around looking important and busy.
The guards escorted me to reception, then disappeared.
I approached the front desk. "Where can I find the Alpha?"
The receptionist looked startled. "Excuse me? Who are you—"
She stopped mid-sentence, recognition dawning on her face. Adrian had never publicly introduced me as his wife, but after our divorce went viral on social media, some pack members knew who I was.
"Do you have an appointment?" she asked, clearing her throat professionally.
I held up the coffee case.
"Oh! You're from Moon Lovers. Got it."
"Yep."
"Take the elevator to the top floor. Alpha Miller already told me you were coming."
I snorted under my breath as I walked toward the elevator.
*That bastard knew I'd never let Liana down. This is basically blackmail.*
On the top floor, I looked around for someone to help me.
"Excuse me, where's Alpha Adrian's office?" I asked a passing employee.
He pointed down the hall. "Right through that door."
I nodded my thanks and headed over.
"Wait, he's in a—"
Before he could finish his warning, I pushed open the door, expecting to find Adrian's private office.
Instead, I walked straight into a boardroom full of Alphas from different packs seated around a massive conference table. Every head turned toward me as the door swung open.
I froze like a deer in headlights.
My eyes slowly traveled around the room until they landed on the man sitting at the head of the table—Adrian, looking every inch the powerful Alpha he was.
