Alpha's Twins Chapter 298
When I opened my eyes, I was back in my bedroom. The second I realized where I was, I gasped. I slowly sat up and looked around the familiar space.
Looking down, I noticed I was wearing men's clothes.
Adrian's scent clung to the fabric.
Slowly, piece by piece, everything that happened last night came flooding back.
I pressed my hand to my chest, running my fingers gently over my upper breasts, searching for any trace of claw marks.
I was shocked to find nothing there.
Confusion washed over me as I tried to remember when I'd fallen asleep and what he might have done afterward.
But my fully dressed state suggested nothing else had happened.
"Stop overthinking it."
I jumped at the deep voice beside me.
I slowly turned my head to see Adrian sitting on the bed, reading through some files.
"What the hell!"
I immediately scrambled out of bed, backing away.
He looked up and raised an eyebrow questioningly.
"What?"
"What are you doing here?"
"You're asking the owner what he's doing in his own house?"
"I mean, what were you doing in the bed where I was sleeping?"
He set the file aside and grinned before getting up.
He walked over and stopped right in front of me.
"Isn't it obvious? Do I really need to spell out what we were doing last night?" He winked.
I frowned and shot back,
"Nothing happened. You healed the wound you gave me during the fight. That's it."
Adrian met my eyes. I could see amusement dancing in his gaze.
"That's it? What about after? You completely lost it and wanted me to f—"
I slapped my hand over his mouth, staring at him wide-eyed.
"Stop messing with me, Adrian. I know nothing happened."
I felt his lips curve against my palm.
Did he just kiss my hand?
I jerked it away and wiped it on the shirt. I glanced at him and caught him staring at my chest.
I looked down and realized I wasn't wearing anything under the shirt.
Way too much was visible. I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Back off."
He stepped back, his eyes returning to mine.
"You don't need to worry about your safety when you're with me."
Something in his tone felt off, but I didn't care. I watched him turn away.
He headed for the door but paused to say,
"Feel free to shower if you're disgusted by my touch from when I healed you last night."
