# Natalia's POV

It had been a month since my family and I moved to the Crystal Blood Pack.

Everything changed after we lost the war. Our whole world turned upside down in a single night.

I had to admit, Adrian letting us stay in his pack was something. At least we had a roof over our heads instead of wandering around as rogues. Where would my parents have ended up if he'd just kicked us out? So yeah, I couldn't exactly call the guy a complete monster for that.

But when it came to my kids? That's where Adrian showed his true colors - cold as ice and twice as ruthless.

He flat-out banned me from seeing my own children. Can you believe that? He actually ordered his guards to block me if I even got close to the pack house. Like I was some kind of threat to my own babies.

I'd tried everything to get just a glimpse of them. Snuck around, pleaded with guards, you name it. Nothing worked. Every single attempt ended with me getting turned away at the door.

The thing that really got to me? Adrian's mother completely ghosted me when I called asking for help. Total radio silence. What the hell happened to her? She used to be decent when I helped save her husband's life. But now? It was like she'd gone back to treating me the same way she did when I first married her son - like I was nobody.

"Mommy, are you okay?" Noah's worried voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

I was video-calling him and Aria on the tablet Adrian had given them. Thank God for that thing - the moment they got it, they'd connected to the Wi-Fi and called me. It was literally the only thing keeping me sane these days.

That's why I'd stopped prowling around the pack house. Last thing I needed was Adrian taking away their devices too.

"I'm fine, sweetheart. Did you two eat breakfast yet?"

Aria shook her head, looking stubborn. "No, I don't want to."

"Why not?"

"That lady always brings our food. We don't like her."

The anger in Aria's voice when she mentioned Lynda made my blood boil. I couldn't wrap my head around Adrian's plan to make that woman my children's new mother. Why not just let them stay with me?

"She even told us to call her mom when Dad was around," Aria blurted out.

That did it. My temper flared. "Don't you dare call her mom. You have one mother, and that's me. Got it?"

Both kids nodded quickly.

I rubbed my face and let out a long breath. This whole Alpha thing was really getting to me. My anger was getting harder and harder to control.

"Listen, babies, don't worry. Everything's going to be—"

"Mommy, someone's coming. We'll call you back later," Noah cut me off.

I nodded, but before they could hang up, I heard Lynda's voice in the background.

"Alright, kids, time for breakfast. Don't give me attitude, or I'm telling your dad. You know he's a monster, right? He'll probably kill you both if you don't behave."

The call went dead.

My grip tightened around the phone until my knuckles went white.

Now I could see exactly what Lynda was doing. She was poisoning my children against their father, just like she'd been turning Adrian against me. Filling their heads with fear and lies.

I couldn't help but wonder what would happen when Adrian finally saw through her act. Would he actually punish his precious sweetheart? The woman he claimed to love more than anything?

Somehow, I doubted it.
