Alpha's Twins Chapter 148

"You can't separate them from their mother. They need her," my dad said, his voice tight with anger.

Adrian's face darkened. "What about their father? Don't you think they need their father too? I can't believe you had the nerve to keep my children hidden in your pack all these years."

The two men squared off, the tension in the room thick enough to cut with a knife.

I grabbed my dad's hand. "Dad, don't waste your breath on him. He's got no class. I won't let him disrespect you."

Adrian let out a bitter laugh at my words. When he stood up, my stomach dropped. I wasn't scared for myself—I was terrified for my family.

He started walking toward my kids, and I could barely breathe.

Aria and Noah stared at him with completely different expressions on their faces.

Adrian reached behind my mom and pulled them forward by their hands.

He dropped to one knee and studied them intently.

I could see the hunger in his eyes—the desperate need to connect with them. I had to look away.

For the first time, I felt a stab of guilt about keeping their father from them.

But hadn't Adrian told me he'd never accept any children I gave him? Why did he suddenly care now?

"Would you two like to come live with me? With your dad?" he asked them.

Aria's eyes went wide. "D-Dad?"

She spun around to face me. "Mom, is that true? Is he really our dad?"

I met her gaze, watching her face light up with pure joy at the thought of having her father in her life.

My jaw clenched. I couldn't get the words out. The guilt was eating me alive. But I'd only been trying to protect them from this man. I never imagined he'd actually want to be part of their lives.

These were my children. Adrian and I were divorced. I wasn't about to hand my babies over to him. They were my whole world.

"Don't ask her. She's a liar," Adrian told Aria bluntly.

He brushed his hand over her hair and said, "I'm going to take you away from here. You'll live like a princess. You won't have to hide from the world anymore."

"No, my mommy's not a liar," Aria shot back, her lower lip jutting out.

"Really? Then ask her if I'm lying about anything."

Tears spilled down my cheeks. His words cut deep. He was calling me out, and we both knew it. All these years, I'd kept my children hidden from everyone. I could never acknowledge them publicly as mine. But he could give them that.

I dropped my head. What was I supposed to do now? Just the thought of my children being taken from me made my blood run cold.

"Mommy?" Aria looked at me with confusion written all over her face.

Before I could answer her, Adrian straightened up and turned to his men.

His gaze landed on Delta Julian. "Julian, take the kids to the Crystal Blood Pack. Starting today, they'll be staying with their grandparents."

My eyes went wide. I shook my head frantically. I'd been holding onto hope that I could talk him out of this, or maybe escape with my babies, but he was smart enough to ship them off before I could make a move.

That's when Noah spoke up, his voice shaking with rage.

"No, we're not going with you. We don't want you. We want our mommy. You're a bad man."
