Alpha's Twins Chapter 135
Natalia's POV
Horror washed over me. How could years of carefully woven magic shatter with just one growl?
I could see it now—Aria had inherited her father's eyes, while Noah had gotten mine. They had no clue what was happening around them.
My mother quickly pulled them behind her, trying to shield them. They kept peeking around her to get a better look at the chaos.
I figured it had to be rival pack fighters attacking my family—that's why everyone had rushed out of the pack house.
But why hadn't they escaped through the back door?
Questions flooded my mind, but Adrian's furious growl cut through my thoughts, making me flinch.
"They are my children!"
So he finally knew the truth. What the hell was I supposed to do now?
When I looked at him, all I saw was pure hatred burning in his eyes—hatred that hadn't been there just moments before.
He spun toward my kids and took off running.
My blood turned to ice. No way in hell was I letting him get his hands on my children.
I started after him, but Alpha Leo stepped right into my path.
"I wanted to make you my Luna, but you and your brother shot me down. What good is that oversized wolf of yours now? Pretty useless, if you ask me," Leo taunted.
I wasn't listening to his crap—my eyes were locked on Adrian as he reached my children. My mother tried to pull them away, but he snarled at her.
I snapped my attention back to Leo. He'd switched weapons and was now gripping a silver stake.
The second he raised his hand to stab me, I lunged forward and sank my teeth into his leg. He shifted immediately, trying to save himself.
Too late.
Fury consumed me as I tore his leg clean off and ripped it to shreds.
The entire battlefield went dead silent—everyone staring in shock as Alpha Leo lost his leg. I tossed his writhing body aside, figuring he'd bleed out from the pain, then bolted toward Adrian.
I slammed into him, trying to shove him away from my mother. She was terrified Adrian would kill her. My father was growling from somewhere nearby, locked in his own fight.
"Back off or I'll kill you," I warned through the pack link—not our mate bond, but the general channel everyone could hear.
Adrian's eyes burned into mine.
Both my twins were shaking with fear. They'd never seen my wolf form before, but somehow they knew it was me and rushed over to wrap their little arms around my legs.
"Mommy," Aria and Noah whispered together.
Looking around, all I could see were Adrian's pack fighters and his officers.
I had no choice but to fight him. I couldn't let him win.
I pushed my children aside and launched myself at Adrian. He wasn't expecting the sudden attack.
We hit the ground hard, rolling as I tried to get my teeth into him.
But he didn't give me the chance to hurt him this time.
I howled in pain as his claws raked across my chest. Blood immediately started pouring from the three deep gashes.
