I walked out of the company and slid into my car. No surprise there—it was already waiting for me outside. Patric must've called my driver to bring it around.

"Alpha, where to?" my driver asked.

I couldn't answer. Where the hell was I supposed to go? Natalia's place? Was she even there?

My heart hammering against my ribs, I pulled out my phone and dialed, trying to get my shit together.

The call connected. "Alpha."

"Where is she right now?" I asked, staring out the window.

"Alpha, just like you ordered, we've been keeping tabs on her. She's at Moon Lovers coffee shop right now."

"Moon Lovers coffee shop?"

"Yeah. That's where she's working."

Working at a coffee shop? What the fuck? Didn't I give her my cards to use?

"Send my driver the address," I said and hung up.

Seconds later, my driver got the location and we were rolling toward the coffee shop.

While we drove, I checked my phone for the balance on the cards I'd sent through Delta Julian.

Holy shit. She hadn't touched a single cent.

That's when Julian's words came flooding back—how she'd refused them that day. He'd said he couldn't get her to take them, just asked if she'd at least keep them even if she didn't want to use them.

I couldn't wrap my head around it. She'd turned down my money and was living like any other pack member.

But why?

The scenery flying past the window was driving me insane. I closed my eyes and sank back into the seat.

Memories crashed over me like a damn tsunami. I could hear Natalia's sobs every time I'd brought up the divorce. She used to beg me not to leave her.

"I don't have anyone in my life except you. Please don't abandon me, Adrian."

My jaw clenched as I opened my eyes. I couldn't get my head straight.

I still remembered our wedding day. She'd looked so happy, like she'd been waiting her whole life for that moment. Back then, I figured she'd planned the whole thing—that's why she seemed so thrilled to marry me.

That's what she'd say every time I told her how much I despised her.

But she never fought back, never lost her cool. Just stayed calm, like the perfect obedient wife. It used to piss me off even more because I thought it was all an act.

The car pulled over at a street corner. I glanced outside—this road looked familiar. Then it hit me: this was near where I'd run into Natalia the night before last.

"Here's Moon Lovers coffee shop, Alpha."

I looked where my driver was pointing to the left.

The shop was tiny—just a one-story building. Whoever owned it had decided to keep things simple instead of going big.

I reached for the door handle but froze when I spotted her inside the coffee shop. I had a clear view from my car.

I pulled my hand back and just stared.

She looked happy chatting with customers. She seemed so young—like a teenager almost.

Watching her, I let out a long breath and whispered, "Natalia."
